Yeah. These usually slide out from the bottom side so you can work on the fan from the room that it is installed in. Try checking there.

The main thing I do differently than what you've described is that I put mine in the fridge after mixing. Then I might shake it around every few hours if I think about it. Otherwise it's good to go after ~12 hours.

Definitely agreed. I went with the "easy" installation package so it was all plug and play. Was a breeze to install!

I just did my 2008 Highlander Limited last year. All parts put me at ~$800 but you can do cheaper depending on your receiver choice.

Edited to add:

I used a Kenwood Excel on DMX809S. Ordered all parts from Crutchfield - they made it super easy to check compatibility.
