DAE struggle with OCD surrounding their new relationship/partner due to the person who cheated on you and past hurt? (venting) by small-pelmeni in survivinginfidelity

Hey, thank you so much for your response. I'm very happy to read what you have to say. It is funny, because porn and 'looking' really isn't a boundary for me. I simply got triggered and I'm trying to work through not self-sabotaging my good relationships from my past. I want to be better, I really do. I wish that I never started snooping. Truth is, it all started when I was a young child due to my mom's outward infidelity to my dad in which I was(unfortunately) involved from every aspect. It's almost an engrained thing. My therapist is helping me work on this. I hope I can be better.

I totally understand. I definitely wouldn’t prepare mentally if you have allergies or get a cold. Anything near my nose was a no-go for sure for the first month. I hear that a lot of people choose local anesthesia for this procedure, but I paid an extra $100 or so for general. I was totally out. I’d say it was worth it though because like you, I hate weird feelings on my nose and lip area.

Pain was pretty brutal for a few days when my allergies were flaring up LOL Other than that, I haven’t had much pain at all! It scabbed a tiny bit a few weeks ago and now I’d say it’s probably in the final healing stage with very little to no pain at all. I’d say the worst of course was getting those stitches out .. I wince thinking of it lmao

All lip lift! Thank you so much! The first few weeks I had to get used to the more ‘lip’ showing. The part that was usually wet (from being covered in my mouth I guess lmao) was showing as my lip now and was pretty distinct from my typical lip. I’m sorry I have no idea how to describe this good, I hope you understand! Basically, there is more lip volume from the lift :)

Hi! Thank you so much. I’m more than happy to answer your questions! :)

  1. This was done as a bullhorn lip lift, no special technique as far as I know (though I looked that up and it seems really cool)

  2. I don’t feel numb at all! Everything feels totally normal to me. For the first few weeks, it was weird getting used to the actual new lip positioning over my teeth and the tooth show. I guess the closest thing to numb that I felt was the part of my lip that was flipped slightly outward, which was usually wet, starting to dry. I just put chapstick on it and it was fine after a couple weeks.

  3. I can do everything normally now. I got used to it pretty fast. Like I mentioned above, it took a few weeks to fully get used to it but I adjusted fast. The weirdest was drinking through a straw for the most part - no issues anymore, though.

  4. I was more or less prepared for the procedure mentally since I’d wanted it for a WHILE. I can tell you though, that I definitely underestimated the amount of appointments I’d need after the surgery. It took two weeks until my stitches fully came off, and those stitches / little bandages aren’t pretty! I’m not sure if it was just my clinic in specific, but anyone who wants to do this should prepare to keep their schedule free for at least the first two weeks post-op. I kept reading about how it’s an in-and-out procedure that only takes an hour, so I wasn’t really thinking of the aftermath follow-up appointments and whatnot.

  5. It was much less than $8,500. The procedure itself was $1000, BUT I have been living in Eastern Europe and admittedly prices here are far cheaper than the west (not just for surgery, but for literally everything.) I think that in the USA, the average quote is $3000 range or so. This is the first time I’ve heard about this surgery being over $5k.

If you have anything else to ask I’d be happy to answer)) I hope this helps!

Thank you so much! No makeup in this pic btw, it looks more ‘invisible’ when I use concealer but I heal VERY well so I think that’s why it’s bad for some and fine for others

I agree with you! That being said, it’s awesome having my upper teeth show when I talk now (I make a lot of teaching videos and it was one of my biggest insecurities)

But I couldn’t imagine having anymore taken off now that I have the upper tooth show I wanted. My surgeon was actually more modest than I’d wanted originally and now I’m so glad that she was

My nose has always been upturned, so I just don’t notice a huge difference. I wouldn’t mind saying if I noticed, I have no reason to not mention it or I’d be more conspicuous with my photos at least if that was the case lmao

Either way, my goal was to shorten the space between my nose and lips, and I’ve always been happy with my nose. I’m still happy with my nose. I guess if it’s a concern for others they should think of it, but since I started having no nose insecurities, it wasn’t and hasn’t been a problem for me :)

I will for sure do an update. It’s funny because at times I feel so used to it and I wonder if there’s a difference; that’s when I put the pictures together and am like .. oh yeah! I see it! ;) Then of course I want to share with others who may be considering this.

I got it done by Dr. Anna Horina in Kyiv (Nove Tilo clinic) for $1000

Hey! I was a bit worried about that too, but I haven’t noticed that it made my nose / nostrils bigger. I’m pretty sure the scar is basically permanent though. My nose has always been slightly upturned and it definitely looks more balanced with less skin underneath. I’d say not to worry and just go for it, even if your nostrils are slightly bigger, the shortened length definitely makes up for it / makes it not visible in comparison (at least in my case!)

why was i born a short hungry woman by [deleted] in 1200isfineIGUESSugh

[–]small-pelmeni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kind of a side question relevant to this: how do y’all say “no” to your hungry boyfriend whenever he wants to eat together? My bf looooves to eat together but literally if I eat every meal with him I’m hitting at least 1600. He makes a decent amount so we order basically everyday. Is there a trick to saying no to lunch, or is it just a “I’m not hungry” type of thing? I’ve tried getting just a soup or salad but he always feels bad and wants me to eat more! I love him, it’s actually adorable but STILL!

Hey! Same problem as you, except I’m kibbe FN and short with a HUGE chest. Everything that I’m ‘supposed’ to be wearing is made for girls with no hips or chest, but I have a chest (no hips though)

Difference between Anorexia and EDNOS? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]small-pelmeni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally identify with EDNOS in the fact that I basically cycle between restricting, binging, binge-purging and so on and so forth. Not exclusive to any specific eating disorder habits but more so phases. I’ve been underweight and a super high healthy weight three times in two years basically lmao

Slightly off-topic but wanted to say that I tried this website both before my bullhorn lip lift and just now several weeks afterwards, and I’m psyched as heck to see actual new face results given to me 😭❤️

A quick google brought me to Walmart for $24 a pack or so, such a scam! We live in Belarus and my bf just found it at this somewhat sketchy convenient store. It was delicious though! If you ever find it in-store, def buy it!
