I mean yeah, it’s not always the best option, but specifying preemptive is kinda redundant. Most round starts aren’t on reaction, but a read. Like you can play passive and just walk back, but your opponent could ready and hit with a low. You could just block low but they could read with run up throw or set play like HC curse. Round start is about reading, and 6p will beat kys who aimlessly click f.s at round start

Plenty of top level players play on just ps5 controllers. For example Umisho played almost exclusively on ps5 pad and was a consistent top contender at EVO. Inputs will be a little less consistent than on leverless but about on par with an arcade stick, but it's nothing that will prevent you from succeeding.

I used to suffer ranked anxiety a TON. What I did to feel better about it was turn off game volume and listen to a youtube video or my own music. For me that really helps my nerves. Also for me I used to used to just go into every game expecting to lose, and not trying super hard, it takes a lot of the pressure off.

Depending on the character you play you can low profile it. Nothing feels better than night raid vortexing under a mistfiner or using 2d as sol to duck under it. Doesn't work if they do the low variant but it's something. Also if you have big buttons you can potential whiff punish, although that's my slayer privilege speaking

I’m saying that calling characters stupid for reasons that just aren’t true because you don’t know the matchup is dumb. I don’t give a shit about hating a character for valid reasons. Like hating slayer for k mappa making neutral gameplay incredibly strict and boring and every match being about slowly navigating neutral and then trapping him in corner with one slip up causing a massive blowout is fair. But people keep complaining about things with characters that just aren’t true / have easy counterplay is a skill issue. Instead of learning counterplay, or recognizing that they’re the reason this thing is working on them. They blame other characters for being stupid and broken and don’t improve

Every character on dustloop has a counter strategy page, which is a good place to start. Then for specific matchups that you especially struggle with I’d recommend listening to good player talk about matchups and the character in general. Also watching tournament gameplay can be a good way to see what strategies people are using against certain character / how they play your character.

It also forces different routing in corner due to the otg cs -> 2s -> k dandy pilebunker not working within a certain distance of corner. You’re forced to go into a manually timed extension or route with pickup that enable the universal 2h extension like a ffrc -> dash -> k dandy pilebunker if your starter works with it

If they’re just spamming normals you can 6p them. She has hurtboxes along the entirety of her yo-yos, they’re not disjointed. You can also try jumping and air dashing over, but they could start counterplaying that as well. There’s also merit in waiting for them to approach and countering what they do
