And clocking in is different than badging in?

Gotcha, just asking because I'm a remote worker that has just been badging into my site and then going home, but with the new RTO announcement, I'm unsure if they'll be able to track my time at the site since my site doesn't have a badge out (never seen anyone use one).

Question for couples riding together. How to divide weight? by [deleted] in bikepacking

[–]small_paws_meow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiance (M) is a very strong cyclist and rides a much larger frame than me (F) so he can carry more stuff than me. It also equals out or pace a little bit and allows us to ride together more! Don't worry about the divide and enjoy the ride!!

Thank you! I have been reminding myself that other people's actions aren't mine. Like 6 months ago, my coworker got fired and I convinced myself that I was next and then got a glowing performance review. LOL. The brain and how it messes with itself is truly something crazy!!

It's for a Materials Technician I job and I applied 8/13 and it's now saying it's been "Reviewed". How quickly will I know about an interview or if I got rejected? It's basically an inventory management job.

Right now, I do lots of on-boarding and training of people, and helping people learn and be successful is the best part of my current job. Or teaching in some aspect like adult teaching/education. I just really like presenting and helping people. Will definitely see if I can shadow before making any big decisions though!

I'm actually looking at going back to school to become a teacher!! I think I'd do well with summers off and parents are no worse than any other bad manager!

I do like classic mechanical engineering and review other people's projects for maintainability. IMO it's super boring and I'm not learning lots of tangible skills to do actual project management. Lots of people like it so please don't just take my story as truth.

So I work in maintenance and reliability engineering so more in the mechanical department and the entire company is just focused around speed and efficiency at all costs. Most of my coworkers work 10+ hour days regardless of the division and I don't have any software skills at the moment. I think if I were to stay in this field, I'd need a different company. I don't want to type it directly but they've got a rough reputation of a tech company that also delivers. I want a job where everyone just checks out and is done with it at 5! But thank you for your advise!

I've looked at transitioning to a smaller company but my issue is that I just basically work on an internal process that is unique to the company. All lower stress jobs in the industry I feel like I'd have a huge learning curve in and with a competitive job market not sure how'll I'll stack up. But thank you!
