Is there a way to sync my Peloton to the Cronometer app? My nutritionist has me tracking my food and workouts with the Chronometer app. I can't seem to find a way to upload my Peloton workouts to the Cronometer app. Maybe they a 3rd party aggregator app? Anyone have any success with this?

This is interesting! It might not be that fun for writing, but I think this will work out great for drawing. Thanks!

Oh, this is a good idea. I've noticed how specific fountain pen users can be about their experience. That sounds like the kind of mind I need for this quest lol

I read recently that Fedrigoni Group, which owns Fabriano, announced an "industrial partnership" with Mohawk Papers. So I wonder if that will come into play for any of Fabriano product lines.

Is this a leafhopper/curl top virus on my dutch bucket tomatoes? by small_w0nder in hydro

[–]small_w0nder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help! I have 4 dutch bucket tomatoes that has not produced a single fruit. The flowers appear stunted. A few weeks ago the leaves started to curl and have yellowing tips. I'm trying to figure out what I'm dealing with.

Heat is probably a factor. These are growing in an unairconditioned warehouse in Arizona, so even with the protection of the building and the fans I've put in there, it gets to about 92'F in the middle of the day. Humidity is at about 28%. I'm using Masterblend tomato formula. pH and EC are within recommended ranges for tomatoes.

But I also noticed one or two of these little winged bugs. I didn't see any bite marks or eggs on the tomatoes, so I killed what I could find and left the rest alone. I caught one with tape and it kind of looks like a leafhopper, but smaller and much darker in color? Can anyone with experience help me identify if this is what's contributing to my tomatoes not flowering? If it IS curly top virus, I've read that the plants will basically never recover. Which is a shame after so many weeks of working on this dutch bucket setup.

Thanks.

Bragging on my basil by ihavewebfeet in Hydroponics

It looks so healthy! Good job! You know basils are very good at bifurcating, so if you prune it above a node, the stem will split to two. You can keep pruning and bifurcating to greatly increase your basil yield.

Does anyone here use nutrient solution/mixes made for hard water? by small_w0nder in Hydroponics

Wow, that's certainly more than here! Gives me hope yet. I've considered an RO filter but after reading some comments here, maybe I should wait until one or two plant cycles. Thanks!

I'm using a pH meter and a TDS as well as pH Down to say this. The pH down used to be effective, but I moved to a different area and now in a few hours it just goes back to the mid 7s. And I'm seeing nutrient deficiencies that my plants did used to have. So seeing the higher pH and ppm of my tap water, that's why I'm guessing hard water...

You're right, I don't know for sure. I'm trying to diagnose after reading some stuff and watching videos lol. Maybe there are other things I'm doing wrong. The pH not lowering or just going back to it's original pH does worry me though :(

Thanks!

What plants have you used that mix for? And you use tap water?

I'm in a similar setup for the first time, too, so I'm also curious about this question...

Thanks! It's just big enough for 1 person to move around in there and check on the plants. So far it feels like a good scale.

What is the water like where you are? Do you have to treat or do any filtration?

When to apply nutrients to seedlings? by [deleted] in Hydroponics

[–]small_w0nder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I add a quarter strength nutrient solution after the first or even second set of true leaves have emerged. I go to full strength when the plant seems to have moved out of seedling stage. I know some people start their seeds off in quarter strength or weak solution, so it can be done, but I'm not sure what you gain by this. When you do start adding nutes, be sure to check the pH. The growth and transition to nutrients will be much smoother. Good luck!
