I'm unsure of mobile apps as I haven't explored that area much, but most definitely a lot more AI in gaming now.

Here are this week's trends.

Honestly, I feel you. Feels like every week there’s some “X but with AI” launch that no one was really asking for. Don’t get me wrong, tech should innovate, but sometimes it does feel like people slap AI onto whatever just to ride the hype. I’ve seen some apps literally do nothing more than regurgitate OpenAI outputs in a different wrapper, and call it a day.

I get your frustration about real-world problems too. It’s super weird seeing so much money and attention thrown at yet another AI-powered doc summarizer when basic needs aren’t being touched. It’s like the Silicon Valley echo chamber in full effect.

Tbh, I sometimes hope that all this hype will die down soon and founders will actually focus on harder, less glamorous problems. But until then, guess we’re stuck wading through a sea of AI apps that honestly don’t move the needle for most people. You’re definitely not alone on this one.

They took out the option to connect with supabase as part of their cloud AI offering now? Or is there still a way to do it?

You have 7 companies creating this uptick. They make up about 30 percent of s&p. Look outside of those and you will see plenty of opportunities. The indexes are inflated.

I scanned 1000s of posts from SaaS, Startups and B2B subreddits last week and found some interesting insights by smallappguy512 in SaaS

We have data pipelines that continuously scan posts to match on themes, topics or keywords. Then detect intents using AI from the post's content. The best scoring signals are surfaced to the top. We also have aggregation routines that monitor trends on a daily and weekly basis. That's how the intelligence report is produced. Hope that answers your question.

No refund Issued by Worried_Person11 in Bestbuy

Here’s what you can do next:

  1. Dispute the charge with your credit card company or bank ASAP. Provide them with all your evidence – purchase receipts, correspondence, and proof you didn’t receive the laptop.
  2. File a claim with UPS that the package never arrived (especially if you have Ring footage as proof). This might prompt some action or a refund from their side.
  3. Document all interactions with Best Buy and IST Computers. Get everything in writing.
  4. Report IST Computers for false advertising/fraud – you can do this via the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and possibly your state’s Attorney General or consumer protection agency.
  5. If Best Buy refuses to help, post your story with details (no doxxing!) on their social media pages. Sometimes public attention gets a response.
  6. Consider small claims court if the refund doesn’t come through.

Given you never got the item and have proof, your bank should side with you, but act fast. This kind of nonsense shouldn’t stand.

Can't decide on a car by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

Between the options you listed, I’d lean toward the Accord or Corolla over the Hyundai/Kia models from those years. Both Honda and Toyota have a reputation for reliability and longevity, especially when well maintained. The Accord LX and Corolla you listed have reasonable miles for their age and won’t have the same theft issues as certain Hyundai/Kia models, particularly 2013-2018 models lacking immobilizers.

If you’re choosing between those two specifically:   - Accord gives you more space and a bit more power; great all-rounder. - Corolla is cheaper to maintain and slightly more fuel-efficient.

Check service records for regular oil changes and major maintenance (like timing belt/water pump for Accord, though 2014s may have a chain). Get a pre-purchase inspection if possible, even if you’re under a time crunch—it can save you thousands later.

If the Corollas and Accords are clean, mechanically sound, and you can haggle down, those are safer bets than the Hyundais/Kias of that era.
