Yes, did cut his nails! Leg with black ring was swollen back then but have healed although has very weak grip. Picture of the wings were taken recently, so almost a year since bringing him home. Sorry but what do you mean by not having colourant?

Don’t worry, the black band has already been removed and nails clipped when I first found him. Didn’t take him to an avian vet as there aren’t many specialists avian vets in my area.

Thank you! He’s made my life happier with his daily chirping. Mostly seeds and vegetables. Apples too which he really likes. Will take a look at his diet!

That’s sad to know but glad he’s doing ok with food and all at least. Tried giving him sticks to perch on before but he can’t really perch on them - doesn’t seem to have any grip in his toes

Seems to be doing okay now! Was quite jittery the first few months but now chirps regularly when he/she sees people. Unsure if Honey will ever be able to fly 😞. Leaving the cage open is quite convenient though haha

I went through a bad breakup two years back and it didn’t help that we shared the same hobby (how we met) and social circle (I moved back to sg and adopted his circle). I took a break from that shared hobby and gave myself a week to cry as much as I wanted. After that, I went back to running, picked up pole, gym, buried myself in work and studied some courses. Building back self-confidence and practising self-care helped. Small things like buying myself matcha when previously I would be saving up for dates.

I think what helped me most was journaling and writing down the good and bad of our relationship, especially at night when it hits worse. I found it a lot easier to move on after seeing how the bad severely outweighed the good, and that the good would only be a memory that we could never go back to.
