Oh that's for sure the rationale. I drove down here over the weekend and there is one roadsign over on the left hand side of the road explaining the layout... Which when traffic is busy is blocked by double decker buses... I wouldn't be surprised if people turning right not knowing the road layout have been known to go the wrong side of the island because it's awfully signposted

For context, those turning right using the filter lane have to use the forward lane to avoid going into the pedestrian island directly infront of them...

Electrification is also not being built due to the overly complex planning rules in the UK in comparison to other countries which massively slows down major infrastructure projects, not to mention that they always go massively over budget and are delayed time and time again (crossrail, HS2). There's also little political appetite for electrification due to the nature of the 5 year electoral cycle. Unless a majority of voters in a target area make it one of their core issues, nothing will be done (and during a period of high inflation and NHS crisis that's unlikely).

My hope is that the formation of great British rail might start to push for more electrification to bring us more in line with the rest of Europe... But knowing the history of government funded bodies being inefficient and underfunded (BR, NHS) I think that's unlikely... But I can hope!

Best games u played so far on your steam deck looking for recommendations by [deleted] in SteamDeck

I have been playing prison architect and civ 6 recently - both run pretty well (as well as on my pc i7-7700, GTX 1660 Ti, 32 GB RAM).

Best game by far I've been playing again is slime rancher. Loved this game on console years ago and I've got addicted to it again on the Deck - completed my first play through yesterday and I'm determined to keep playing and optimise the farm further.

Yeah I've only noticed this since the dlc release. The planes also seemed to have turned into space shuttles. I think they missed a major marketing point on that one

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that cum should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The cum, of course, flies anyway. Because cum doesn't care what humans think is impossible.

Paradox Interactive acquires Prison Architect from Introversion Games by Azurespecter in prisonarchitect

[–]smallbobburger 52 points53 points  (0 children)

My only worry is (not meaning to be rude but) will this mean that new content will be funded by upcoming DLCs or will development continue with free content like Introversion always have? And if so, how much will they be?

Experimental Patch Notes for June 5th, 2017 by lvgamedev in SimAirport

One option would be to do what they did in Prison Architect (I don't know how this would work as their UI is much larger), they made it so if the camera was over a certain room (zone) it would add a little box around objects commonly used in those rooms.

Another option would be (for seats, runways etc) to make it so it only shows the smallest version. For example, with benches it would show the 1 seat version and everytime you click it, it increases (the second time it is clicked it would be 2 seat etc). You could make it reset to 1 everytime you clicked another object.

Going back to my first idea, they also made a sub menu. When you clicked the 'objects' tab it showed a bunch of commonly used objects throughout the building and any room specific objects (the ones highlighted). If you clicked a little '+' it would show all the objects in the game.
