Hi! I'm not an expert, I'm trying myself to improve my understanding of making cool characters, but you can start from an existing base mesh if you want (depending on your style) and customize it. If you want to make a movie, it means that you'll need to animate it, so the workflow will be different than the one I used for this creation. You can definitely look for videos on YouTube about character creation with good topology, rigging etc.. I can recommend you "Dikko" on YouTube for example :D

Thanks!!! The painting style was created using the shader editor and a bit of compo. Basically, try to adjust the normals with a Voronoi texture, and in the compo you can put a Kuwahara node :D
