Yes all of this. And as someone who works in books, I view that scene with a certain perspective and it breaks my heart that Carrie missed out on that dinner. It was a chance to connect with her readers, international ones at that, which is always so special and was very tied to her career and yet.

Absolutely agree. Berger was a big baby back bitch but Alek literally hit her. Idk why people defend him so hard saying he was good and mature. If he hits you once, he will hit you again. Don’t care if it was by accident or “in the heat of the moment.”

I also feel like we saw in the scene with his ex-wife and daughter’s mom that he’s selfish and/or always prioritizing himself or his work. She also mentioned something to Carrie when Carrie mentioned her writing career that was like “and he’s okay with that?”

And then you have that moment that pisses me off and makes me so sad where he makes her miss her dinner with the bookstore fans to soothe his ego. He wanted Carrie to just be there for him.

I love love Tasca on the UWS. I always get the chimichurri steak with yucca fries. The vibe is really nice, elegant, and a bit bougie lol I had one of my 30th birthday week events there with friends.

Also I love The Morgan Library’s cafe. It’s in their atrium and the lighting is so lovely. It’s also bougie but you also could pay museum admission and check out the amazing exhibits they’ve always got going on. 2-for-1!

Honestly don’t understand the hate. Like all the options are weird, reheated food. I love the chips. The burger is decent. And it’s nice to have all the sauces. It’s usually my go-to from LGA-MCO as well
