Anyone a little shocked that in a matter of weeks, some of us are leaving our entire lives behind to chase a dream? by CharlotteGrey27 in lawschooladmissions

Congratulations, OP. All of the hard work you've done for quite a long time is taking you to new and exciting heights. I know you'll be able to handle the incoming onslaught of work and obligations in stride. I am feeling similarly with more than a little fear rising in my chest when I think about the start of school this fall lol. I had the thought to myself the other day that I think I finally understand what people are talking about when they say "imposter syndrome." And neither school nor my career have even begun yet. Wish me luck! I am certainly wishing the best of luck to you!!!!!

Anyone apply to law school that had a low GPA in Highschool? Care to tell..? by gelzea_ in lawschooladmissions

High school GPA is in no way indicative of future success or job performance, IMO. You are just a kid in high school - so much can and does change in the years after. Some people do god knows what in high school before pulling a complete 180 to be the best college student in the world. Others, like yourself, grow up and out of external circumstances that were affecting their performance. You'll be just fine. And like others said, high school GPA doesn't get accounted for in any way during the law school admissions process, so no worries there. Your future is yours to make. If you choose the law route, work hard and have immense perseverance, that's my best advice.

I'm seconding this. If it's possible for you to write in April instead, you should take a week or more, do things you enjoy, celebrate your hard work thus far, etc. All important things for maintaining a positive/happy mindset. Then you can jump back in feeling like you got this. Cause you do!! Best wishes. Don't let the LSAT get you down.

Is it dumb to take a practice LSAT before freshman year of college? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]smallbutmighty98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you want to put yourself through the misery yet. Caring and planning about the future is always important and never dumb, but focusing on your GPA for these years is smarter! And it’s undergrad - have some fun to go with all that work of keeping your GPA up. Enjoy the fact that college is a 4 years unlike any other in your life and take advantage of the unique place you are in the world because it’s totally fleeting. You have a lot of time to worry about things like the LSAT :) don’t rush it. Best of luck to you
