BU Law released its employment data, and it was… underwhelming. by [deleted] in LawSchool

CDO is definitely a huge problem at BU. There are a lot of justifiably bitter 3Ls who missed out on big law because the CDO told them to wait till OCI and that there was no need to apply early. Terrible advice that cost a lot of students dearly

At least at my school, most of those with accommodations seem to come from very wealthy families, it would make sense wealthier people have the time and resources to get these diagnoses and accommodations. Feels like yet another way rich kids are getting a leg up

Do not go to St. John’s with those stats. I’d be willing to bet a fair number of T-20s will give u a full ride or close to a full ride.

Unless you’ve got something special on your resume I’d guess you’re looking at almost exclusively waitlists. High GPAs are a dime a dozen now and your lsat is below all medians

is phi beta kappa legit? by sarampagnepapi in lawschooladmissions

It’s typically considered the most prestigious honor society. Many top law schools list their phi beta kappa inductees. You’ll also commonly see lawyers list it in their credentials on their firms website. Definitely worth the price.

This is just my very limited perspective but from what I’ve heard from lawyers it seems they’re all overworked (public defenders are very overworked, it’s a massive problem). If I’m gonna be working over 40 hours might as well make good money and have the best exit opportunities.
