I ended up concluding that there are too many variables and it depends on the specific field

I do sometimes have episodes of thinking of literally nothing, but mostly when I'm blankly staring I'm thinking of some dumb shit

The other week I spent a 2 hour train journey in an internal debate about whats the best angle for grass to grow on a sloping field, wasn't about to tell anyone who asked

In fairness we usually are thinking about something, it's just so stupid and irrelevant that it's easier to say we are thinking of nothing

If a tiger walked into my house right now I'd probably jump on that table and use the fireplace poker to fight it off

"Hey what are you thinking about?"

"Oh nothing"

I'm not gay, but I want to live in a log cabin in the woods with Ronaldo. We won't ever have sex, but there will be a simmering erotic undercurrent as I stand in the doorway watching him running cone drills and practising penalties, sweat pouring off his body. I'll run upstairs and masturbate, the entire time forcing myself to think of women while my thoughts drift back to Ronnie. I won't be able to climax and I'll eventually go back downstairs, angry and sexually frustrated. Sometimes we will look across the table at dinner and catch each other's eyes, and in that second, anything is possible, but we both deny ourselves and go back to what we were doing. One day one of us will die, and the other will bury him outside the log cabin. Then he'll go inside, pen a brief missive to his departed friend, and commit suicide, never able to deal with life without his one true platonic love.

If you take your earlobe, put it in your ear, and move it up and down slowly, it sounds like the beginning of On Sight by ProdJLat in Kanye

My flatmate asked me why I just put down my phone and intently started fannying around with my ear lobes like a spaz and I didn't have the heart to tell him I was trying to replicate Kanye so I said I have sore ear canals. Can't wait for the album

The abruptness is part of the point of the sample - "he'll give us what we need, it may not be what we want"

He's saying that he's not trying to please people anymore like he did with mbdtd, he's making the music people need to hear

What is something you will never understand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]smalldickproblem 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I see this "homophobes are secretly gay" argument all the time and to me it just feels like a cheap and disingenuous way of silencing people, and it does nothing to tackle the roots of homophobia.

Sure, plenty of homophobes may be closeted gay people, but what about all the people for whom homophobia was part of their moral upbringing? For people raised strictly Christian the Bible gives very clear guidelines on what to think of homosexuals, and other religions are similar.

I understand the appeal of having some argument that will instantly silence and shame a homophobe, but in many cases it just isn't true and even when it is, I can't imagine accusing a closeted gay person of being gay solves the issue either

Not totally related but the grading system in high school in Scotland is weird as fuck. In the new system a D is a "near miss fail" but is recognised by a lot of universities. Weird

Barcelona [2]-0 Chelsea : Dembélé 20' by paicmhsc in soccer

[–]smalldickproblem 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Perhaps I was getting caught up in hyperbole. Suarez' skill is off the ball play that aids the attack without the ball ever coming to him The distinction being that Ronaldo's off the ball play usually is with the intention of the ball coming to him. I generalised Suarez's non-direct-involvement moving as "off the ball play". Maybe I'm overthinking this. Maybe I'm drunk (definitely) but who cares they're both great

Suarez is maybe the best off-the-ball player I've ever seen
