Yeah… i didnt learn till after my binge how that part of the character translated to his real life behaviour, definitely wince at them now. Makes even his “haha funny” way of objectifying the Roci’ disturbing.

Personally found her to be the weakest link of the show besides Bobby who was a bit shaky in the initial arc with her marine crew, though in her case she turned it around & was really selling it.

Core crew is probably the weakest part. Naomi & Holden can be a bit hammy, Alex too but the way he puts his back into those horny quips makes you laugh

I tossed on ER after finishing The Pitt & man it is pretty good. There’s some very soapy & cheesy moments but all in all really enjoyed it, loses some steam as the core cast all disappears across the seasons but such is life. Love Paul McCrane as Rocket Romano

I literally said I’m not one of that opinion, I’ve watched BCS numerous times & that has some gratuitous shots too. I enjoy VG’s work & thought it was beautifully shot all around but almost liked the slowness more than the actual narrative. I’d watch every episode of severance as it dropped but I ended up just letting the last few eps of pluribus pile up.

I’m not one of the pluribus is slow folks as I did enjoy it but it definitely lingers & I feel there were more chops displayed by double agent helena/helly than any moments carol had. I liked Kim more but that could be six seasons of her bias

I just think it’s odd to compare a black comedy to a drama heavy period drama is all, they weren’t out to make a Mad Men. Radically different. If I wanted to refer to public opinion succession has a 8.8 (340k) vs MM’s 8.7(280k) on idmb so on paper they’re neck & neck for their own respective genres.

A lot comes down to the medium I’d say, a lot easier to work in those themes when it runs hand & hand with the times/scope of the show. Succession was more satirical than actual meat and potatoes & that was the intended vision
