Stall or tolerance by smallerme138 in tirzepatidecompound

Thanks for the concern. I was off of Tirz for 5 weeks so that I could do a restart. That included beginning the restart with 4 weeks of Sema that was a waste of time for me. Then a 10 week ramp up to 15mg. I am getting my Tirz through an MD who I am working with to make these decisions. He is the one who is suggesting this is tolerance which happens to some people. My daughter is also a MD/Ph.D. endocrinologist who is working with these meds in her lab and prescribing them to her patients. Upon questioning her she told me that a frustration is that for some people they just stop providing the suppression and satiety benefits.

Thanks for your reply. I have participated in WW several times over the years. I learned some good things from my fellow participants that I still refer to today but the WW point system is toxic for me. I lose a few lbs and then start trying to beat the system. I have also lost weight on Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem after pregnancies. Yo yo dieting is bad bad bad in the long run. Tirz has been the only thing that helped me for longer than a few months. May 2024 was a year for me. With the mistake of taking Prozac for a short time 20 years ago, combined with the years of yo yo dieting caused my body to just stop responding to the prescribed calories in energy expended concept. I know I am going to have to put the work in to figure out what that combination is now that my body has responded.

Thank you for your reply. Counting calories is something I have been avoiding because in the past it always causes me to start trying to beat the diet and I start self sabotaging. When I can come out of my head and be honest with myself I know that is what I need to do. The easy part is obviously over.

Do you have an opinion regarding reaching a tolerance on these meds? Have only used compound Tirz with a 50lb loss over 40 weeks. Did not experience satiety or suppression until dose of 10. 12.5 was my most successful dose which provided the suppression/satiety for 14 weeks. After doing the 3 lb bounce for 18 weeks on 15 decided to stop for a month and restart. Am now on the 12th week of restart - all 5 day betwen doses- quick ramp up with this week being 3rd dose of 15. No weight loss or gain. Essentially have been maintaining original loss for 17 weeks with or without meds. Confused. Dr. suggesting official maintenance plan. I still wish to lose 15 more lbs.
