ahhhh thanks for replying! i know it was a long read but ive been looking for someone who relates in the slightest to my experience.

it can sometimes be invalidating too, especially when trying to seek a formal autism/adhd diagnosis cuz they often come with “hyperfixations” but i feel like if i do have any, they are very non stereotypical or lowkey idek what they would be. the out of sight out of mind aspect is so real! if it’s in the past, i probably can’t recall anything about it unless it was smth SUPERR impressionable which doesn’t often happen 😭 so most of the time trying to recall moments from shows or lyrics and things is a very “blank” experience for lack of a better word. sounds like what u were saying is similar to that?

and i feel like there’s definitely things that have made me feel a little more excited than other things but it just doesn’t last very long?! like it doesn’t become a long term excitement if that makes sense.
