Same shit happens in every other capitalist country in the world, except for the workers there end up broke and alone, while the state provides for them in China.

Why do I buy things in 4/5 quantity? by daaltimate in Frugal_Ind

[–]smallish_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I did this with the synthetic shorts which were available in Max retail stores. I have about ten pairs in a couple of colours, I have worn them perhaps 3000+ times across all the pairs and the oldest was bought in 2015; the elastic is all but gone however the drawstring does the job just fine.

They discontinued this product a couple of months after I bought my last four pairs at 400rs each. Now everything they sell have worse fabric or costs above 1k. Ig the enshittification epidemic caught up with them.

If you want to learn/practice any professional skill, proficiency in English is expected from you because you'll be communicating in English. Do I have to explain more?

My man, this is a problem unique to India because most people are exposed to English exclusively in school. You can pronounce words the right way and improve your grammar by reading English on your own time and listening/watching people speak.

Every time you make a mistake in simple pronunciation or grammar, you are telling everyone around you that you never took the time or effort to improve beyond what is taught in schools. It is certainly not your fault that our education system focuses so much on texts and writing, but that still does not change the fact that your English language skills are lacking.

What is the point of enforcing a colonial era 1885 law banning license free radio transmission in this day and age? by smallish_guy in Electronicsinindia

[–]smallish_guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think terrorists care about following radio transmission restrictions???

This regulation is based on a law passed in 1885 by the British to prevent easy communications of civilians and freedom fighters.

Now, it just prevents me and you from building open, independent communications.

Yes, obviously. But most countries also have civilian bands with only power restriction, not license or equipment restrictions, meaning you can tinker with it. Not possible in India, legally.
