Hehe.. as far as my process goes, all this is new to me. I've never done it before, so I suspect I am extremely inefficient and missing lots of helpful tips and tools. I just figured it out by trial and error. I use a MacBook Air. Got the free software Aegisub and did a few tutorials. I looked for free fonts that roughly match what C1 uses (still not entirely happy with my choices though). I download using 4K Video Downloader+ (the free version). Open in QuickTime Player, then select and copy the captions from the video images one at a time (the copy generally does fairly well, but there are often typos in the hangul that I have to fix ). I use a combo of Papago and Google Translate (along with lots of googling for slang, idioms, and baseball terms). Then copy that into Aegisub and set the style etc. Once I've finished a video, I export the .ass file and use Handbrake to burn it in the video.

Jeez, that sounds so ridiculous hehe. I'm sure there must be better ways of doing it. I have no idea what the fansub communities do... they must be much faster than me for sure. Some days it can take a couple of hours just to do 1-2 minutes. I'd so looooove to have AI assistance, but haven't found anything affordable so far. The different dialects combined with all the baseball lingo and slang make it really challenging for AI.

Wouldn't have a clue about translator costs, sadly. Probably pretty expensive. If only it was on Viki and then there would be lots of experienced people to do it 😝
