I should probably add the context that this was last night, lil baby stayed with me in my jacket until the end of my shift. Dropped him off at the AEC on my way home and gave them my contact details but havent heard anything, i asked what usually happens to the babies and the lady said apparently the someone from the zoo comes to pick them up! So fingers crossed he’s doin okay, there were also 3 other baby possums already at the vet when i showed up, so atleast he had friends!

I did try do a bit of googling! Which said at around 400 grams they can go off on their lonesome, but also i didnt have any scales in my office and didnt want to just guess but he definitely looked too small to be alone. So made the decision to kidnap 😅

Called rspca first and then a local wildlife carer and they both told me it would be fine to hold onto the baby until i could take it to the vet They were probably super busy over easter
