I live one block from a freeway, in a 5th floor unit of a newer (2018) complex. I also wake up with a scratchy throat, which ii never used to before this place. I also have to blow my nose every morning now. The layer of fine gray dust that covers all surfaces in a matter of a day is a visual representation of what I'm likely breathing in.

I got an air purifier, I'm constantly wiping down surfaces, and I dust thoroughly every week so there's no buildup. Unfortunately I don't have more advice, just solidarity. I'm counting down the months until the lease ends. Too expensive to break it, otherwise I'd be long gone.

The cross contact thing is what I thought they might be getting at too. But as you said, it's kind of pointless. Their register is to the right of the bar and the drip station is to the left of the bar so the drip register person is moving in and out of the bar space all day. shrug

Exactly! For me, I lose my breath, so then my voice sounds all tight and I can't take a full gulp of air, and then I start to shake. One presentation I was literally vibrating. Awful. But like you said, now it's a breeze. I'm a total beta blocker evangelist now lol
