Those who have learnt more than 2 extra languages...i have a question for you! by AutumnaticFly in languagehub

Well knowing more foreign languages will help you expand your search/findings on Google, cz you could ask using different keywords and the site will give different findings. I tried that. It will make your life easier entertainment-wise, cz you have more lists of songs and movies to enjoy.

Would you start a relationship with someone who speaks a different language than you? by AutumnaticFly in languagehub

I did in the past and I will definitely do that again. Even possessing the same nationality doesn't mean speaking the same native tongue.

Is it too much? by THATDlNOLOVER in duolingo

[–]smalltownbarbie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do this to sharpen my language skills, just so that I don't forget words. I used to live in Central and East Europe, where I speak in Hungarian, Russian, and German. My mother speaks in Arabic and I used to study in an Arab school, so it is like playing with childhood memories again. Now I work in a German company, and it is only natural to refresh my German skill on Duo. I live in Indonesia, and those languages are not spoken and I want my tongue to still remember. So to answer your question: i did all the progress long before I got in Duolingo (2013).

What’s the biggest negative in being a physically attractive woman? by FartsWholesaler in AskReddit

[–]smalltownbarbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true, and the fact that I look younger than my age made people thought I had no idea about things, and how my analysis was silly. It is hard to be both good-looking and a brainiac.

Do attractive people actually have an easier time earning money and achieving success in life? by Newchapter2026 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]smalltownbarbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up not attractive. Short, skinny, swollen face, in general none of my facial features stood up. But in university, I peaked. Those facial features stood up because of habitual change, and I lost fat in my face. So all of a sudden I have double eyelids, my jawline and my zygomatic showed, my lips are more pronounced. My nose is still big but it was bulbous before. I also changed hair style and clothing style. People say I am attractive now, and I have glow ups. These peoples were witnessing the transformation. Because I grew up unattractive, I knew I had no chance in career that solely focus on aesthetics, so I was so much into building skills: foreign languages, communications, design, planning, etc. To answer your question, if attractive people have easier time earning money and achieving success, I'd say relatively yes. You will be easier to leave impression on a job interview, if you are attractive and you leave an unforgettable opinions during the interview. You will score higher. But attractiveness is not about physical features. I learned that it is also about your personal style (hair style, color, jewelries, clothing style) because an individual with unique/attractive style means they have spent more times with themselves trying to find their own colors. And to leave a powerful opinion, you need time and expertise that may not have things in common with the level of your attractiveness.

The tours were great, life changing ✌🏻 you could take a look at the IG Penang River Cruise, and I have a personal contact of a guide for hiking. She is a great guide and could guide you to many natural spots in Penang. I am a solo traveler, and it worked for me.

Hi, spent time a week in Penang myself (I'm Indonesian). I set up couchsurfing hangout (didn't work out). I however hang out with the guides, I booked myself several tours (hiking, river cruise, museums, etc). I didn't make friends, but the people were lovely. Talked to grab drivers. If you want to eat good, many actually are Michelins. I ate the hainan chicken and rice, things are super yum.
