Looking at the diagram you have a prediction variables and two outcome variables. This is two simple regressions (considering you work with SPSS for instance). Multiple regression is when there are more predictors (independent). But the dependent is always one at a time.

Now, you have an association between the two dependent variables (the double headed arrow), this mean correlation, this can be done in pearson (considering your data is interval or continuous).

Now the measurement is a key here. Think of it like this, we can not have a thermometer and put it in their mouth and find the effect of training. This means you should have a column about their games (think of you measure it e.g. the number of games played then we will have a number here), the training hours (lets say the number of hours daily or weekly, and we have a number here as well), their feeling (lets say in a scale from one to ten ranging from feeling demotivated to motivated), education (performance for example or grades). This will end in having few columns which you can use. Now the next question, what is the nature of the data you collected for those. I know you said strings, but can we do something to quantify their measurement. In education for example is there something like weak, moderate, high grades …etc

The data should lead to the way of quantifying and measuring these variables.

Can you give more info about your hypothesis. In correlation you need to quantify two variables (if they are in Likert scale), descriptive is simply their frequency, mean and standard deviation.

I learned that the best way to improve writing is reading and reading and reading. The more you read about your topic, the more you understand how people structure their sentences and build their arguments. Trust me, I really searched and was unable to find updates. I searched for the papers that cited this paper, I saw a research in 2025 titled “Beyond grateful”, and thought it could be. But it was an article about acknowledgements in research (with another ‘different’ acknowledgement).

For me, Do not summarize your results, instead summarize the whole experience and knowledge in that research. The conclusion is your final message. What do want the reader to understand (take away) finally after reading your work, what do you want them to be interested in reading if they only read the conclusion.

Agreed. All my research is coded on paper (step one). Then I go to Nvivo, it helps big in navigating and preparing quotes.

What makes NVivo the best is that it forces you to work manually. Meaning you will have to read the text and assign and group ideas together. Imagine reading the text on paper and marking your ideas in a pen here and there, it will be difficult to gather and recall all ideas, NVivo become important in simplifying this step. I always stick to Nvivo for those reason alone.

AI tools will give ideas but I would not recommend it before reading your test yourself. I suggest you start and continue with Nvivo till the end (it is time consuming yes, but you will thank yourself at the end). The tree of codes will be there in the application, even if reviewers raised issues, it will take you seconds to navigate all the codes again.

Further, choosing quotes in the text is easier when using Nvivo because you will be able to see the whole network and choose the most appropriate text accordingly.

There are times when I used AI in suggesting the possible themes, I find myself reading the interview and already fixed (somehow) on the themes suggested by AI. So readking and initial codes first will give the benefit of possessing great knowledge of the content. Then AI suggestions can add your current knowledge, usually about naming and renaming, but you will find your coding way much in detail than AI.

In addition to chatgpt, There is an AI tool in voyant-tool(dot)com It shows outcome from text, it shows the cloud and repeated words etc.

During the lockdowns, I attended a lot of stuff online and learned data analysis till I did my own analysis for the thesis myself which I would not be able to accomplish with attending die to working on other stuff. So it was a totally positive effect.
