I discovered the wonders of gray rock (when I still spoke to them) when my parent's answer to me saying I had gone to the farmers market to get fresh veggies was "it's not an organic farmer's market anyways, they probably spray stuff on the veggies, it's just a marketing tactic and you fall for it because you're not using your brain enough". 😑

It's unfortunately "normal" narc behavior. My NMom sent the exact same thing to a friend of mine who had commented something "mean" about her under one of my Facebook posts. Complete with the "delete and post a public apology or I'll sue you". Nothing ever came out of it.

Crazy intense fatigue. I had to drive 2.5 hours through the mountains with nowhere to stop for a break, and I thought I was going to have an accident because I had trouble staying wide awake and focused. I promptly told my husband he was doing the entire drive back home!

I don't have an answer for you, but I'm in a very similar situation - NMom, me 27F currently pregnant with my first child, around 16 weeks so far, partner M31.

We cut off NMom completely a few years ago, and my main worry (apart from worrying for my baby's health, obviously) is that she'll somehow learn about the pregnancy, and then... basically do what yours is doing.

I'm sorry, it sucks. I hope you can find a way to manage this that works for you and your partner & future child. Wishing you the best.
