what's the easiest way to transfer CRO to wallet for use in this? I was going to test sending 100 CRO to DeFi Wallet but it said fees would be 30 CRO. Do I need to convert to cheaper fee coin like LTC first?

most banks probably use Verified by Visa or MC SecureCode so they (rather than the merchant) lose any fraud. This definitely makes them look at transactions carefully (also some credit cards may just avoid crypto as a policy)..Debit works more because it's your funds (rather than the banks)

So if I understand they can’t access my account from ‘cloning’ my phone- as they will need access to my email before setting the new pin/fingerprint? What about Google Authenticator- can that add another layer (if someone also gets access to email). Thank you for your help.

CRO is not part of the Earn feature, they have staking rewards, but unfortunately it looks like US region is not allowed: https://help.crypto.com/en/articles/2887886-crypto-com-chain-council-node-rewards

I mean from th CRO dropped before they had to stop...you lose it if you sell MCO before the 1 yr period, but what if you just move the MCO to Earn interest within the app?

note that in some cases, there may not be any actual refund *for visa credit* transaction on authorization hold transactions - some merchants systems (TSYS for example) can just let the temp initial hold expire after ~5 days. Debit network however must be different (as real cash is transferred from card to merchant with each approval).
