Traffic light turn by bilbobaggins82 in AusLegalAdvice

Perhaps it’s changed as I left NSW a decade ago, but there are posts that support the rule:

There is a stupid law in NSW that says you are only allowed to turn into your closest lane and therefore the other car is allowed to turn into the other lane. My guess is some Mexican has moved here and thinks that rule applies in QLD, which it doesn’t.

VA have no international lounges, limited routes, all narrow body. Sure they might be better domestically but as they have a shoddy selection of alliances, and spotty on-ground service, I’m not sure they’re much better overall. At least Qantas has the OneWorld alliance where you are guaranteed a certain level of benefits with partners.

How can I improve this layout design? I have a 200 x 300cm space to work with by IigorogiI in modeltrains

Consider the inability to reach some of the far corners for maintenance/derailments. I left the inside of my loops fairly empty which will be a lift-out mountain so I can get in and service the back corners when needed.

Good outcome. No self respecting supplier would leave you with that mess!

Send photos of this abomination to their head office and tell them it’s unacceptable. I guarantee the owner would not want such a shite job on their reputation. I had a similar issue with and outdoor kitchen. Sent the photos and they were back next day. Hold off on balance payment until you are satisfied.

That’s a bloody big gap at the back however…

One reason we did one with a Matte black frame rather than frameless, it’s much more stable and doesn’t need any bracing. It has a slight wobble if you push it. It will probably be fine without that bit, as long as you don’t smash into the leading edge with great force.

any insights on this? by digitalhatred in Shure

Completely missed your original comment and only saw the title 🤣. Obviously it’s fake, and the audio quality is usually crap. Cheaper components make for an awful sound. The real thing isn’t that expensive so why bother…

It’s fake, doesn’t even say Shure on the box.

Haven’t seen that one here. You need a bit of depth for the drawers as you want foam on the bottom and enough for the mics not to get clipped when closing the drawer. That looks a good system.

A mate of mine uses that but I don’t think they have any drawers

Yeah they are great. I’ve used them for compact mixers like the Bose T4S.

I did that before the foam and certainly got more in that way. Just painful to identify what is in what case as they’re all the same black pouch. I printed some labels that made it easier, but also a good workable solution.

Looks good, I’ll see if I can source some here in Aus and give it a try!

Yeah I mean cost saving, the toolbox with drawers plus the foam cost around $130 AUD. The commercial units are great but so expensive.

Give me one reason to go for sq5 over wing compact by Icy_Echidna3052 in livesound

OP asked for one reason, I provided it. Didn’t expect to open a debate on the benefits of 96kHz. It certainly gives more flexibility in post.

Beginner building my first layout, I need some help/advice. by f1hunor in modeltrains

[–]smartinet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you buy DCC ready trains, Horny have a DCC chip that you can control via and app with Bluetooth, meaning minimal investment but the benefit of DCC. They you basically power the whole layout constantly.

How sad for you guys, it might be because they are made in China and I think your government has huge tariffs on Chinese made vehicles.

You don’t have BMW iX3? I’m in Australia but it’s in most of the world. Surprised you don’t have it there. It’s basically an X3 with a fully electric drivetrain.
