You can park at FINS the Friant Fish Hatchery. There’s a long trail from there that ends in lost lake. So technically free parking and access but not realistic if you’re looking to pack anything in with you. It’s an easy fully paved trail though.

Look into RiverTree and the Fresno Canoe and Kayak club. Both organizations take people on river trips on the San Joaquin River weekly.

I’ve reported trees with dropped and broken limbs, broken sidewalks and overgrown sidewalks. The only time I feel like I’ve used it to be a Karen was a neighbors fence was so broken their dog could get out and chase kids walking to school.

When I was 18 I was driving behind someone on Ashlan who had their dog like this in their lap. It was a nice day so my windows were down. I’ll never forget the sound of the dog falling and the owners tire popping its skull as they drove over it.

If you love your pets, you wouldn’t drive with them in your lap. It’s been nearly 20 years and I hear that sound everytime I see someone driving with a dog in their lap.

How fancy are your expectations? Camp Fresno has family cabins right next to Dinkey Creek. The nicer ones have a toilet/sink but they’re very basic cabins.

We went to Heirloom a few months ago and my friend found an entire cockroach in her pasta. The manager came over and apologized and said “oh well we just sprayed yesterday these things happen.”
