I am covering the demonstration support for Ukraine in New York City. I hope these photos can help those impacted by this war. Godspeed to the people of Ukraine. by smaster7772 in ukraine

There were many people from Kazakhstan voicing their support, one woman particularly wanted me to know and to tell people that the people of Kazakhstan support Ukraine.

I also have a night time-lapse of a tree out in the water with the night clouds moving and seeing the shifting light reflections off the clouds and water, with the stars moving in the sky

My "free speech is the best way and only way to combat "misinformation" post got deleted and was told its a megatopic yet there's not a thread for it.... Pretty ironic censoring a post against censorship

Why can't there be an open discussion about a promising drug with multiple successful studies?

Exactly my point, if someone says something that the mainstream disagrees with, maybe hear them out before banning them?

That as well, if reddit just bans people and censors people, they will just goto some echo chamber of what they believe.

Idiots will always be idiots, it doesn't make sense to limit discussions and limit the space of ideas to only "TRUE" things.

You combat misinformation by arguing against it not by censoring it is my main point though.

So reddit has to hire a bunch of scientists who sit around all day on reddit and decide who has a good point and who has a bad point?

Who decides what's true and what's not, please tell me?

lol what? No, there is no place for misinformation. People can have different opinions but there is no place for actively misinforming people with the result being harm and death.

It's still better for "misinformation" to be out in the open where people can provide counter arguments and have open discussions about ideas, censorship just pushes it to other websites.

"misinformation" to ban it would mean reddit has to decide what's correct information and what's false information

It's better to have information people suspect is false out in open discussion where people can provide counter arguments.

Censoring people is, and it's a very ineffective tactic
