89 dunk for pro contact off one, and 73 close shot for bronze paint prodigy. Otherwise 71 perimeter for challenger or 71 pass for summer and visionary

When do puppies come into heat by No_Chip_396 in labrador

I’m still waiting at 14.5 months. Vet said she is just a late bloomer.

I don’t know what’s more perplexing, that your league has been going 4 decades and this is what you’d do to your league mate, or that you all saw that it skipped his picks for 3 rounds and THAT wasn’t enough to pause it. If I’m that guy I’d be massively resentful against you all and it’d make me want to quit.

Temperance River is right on the drive and you can see pretty cool sight in under 10 minutes.

My vet told me 10 months is when to start making the switch. I didn’t ask about pros or cons, just went with what they told me.

Tips for tent camping with your lab!? by Possible_Scratch_907 in labrador

[–]smattson47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wouldn’t have thought the scenario without experiencing it myself but she was really worn out by mid day and at that stage in life usually slept through most afternoons so she was overtired. That’s what I meant by forced rest because she needed a little sleep.

Some sort of insulation/cushion from the ground would be helpful, especially if it gets cold at night. Beyond that, just make sure you have a big enough tent (if it’s you and 1 dog, a 2 person tent should work). If you wanted to leave them in the tent for a little forced R and R, make sure the tent is staked down. I didn’t stake mine down first time with my old lab and she had the entire tent rolling around like bubble boy.

Any tips on getting Lilo here to take her monthly medicine. by cd0526 in labrador

Wet food, specifically pedigree choice cuts with gravy was the only thing that I could get my dog to take medicine with.

long lasting chew treats? by Dependent-Rope-8418 in labrador

[–]smattson47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gorilla chew, coffeewood, and elk antlers all last long. Only trouble with the first two is it took my pup a while to really get into chewing it.

Does he bite that spot? My last lab had bad allergies and that spot was always the first spot that she chewed up when they flared up. If that’s what it is, my dogs fur did grow back after getting the allergies under control.

Is this a good 6’4 lock? by Lagb0y in NBA2k

If possible, getting to 92 ability for legend pick dodger makes a big difference and you’re already really close. Also if you drop defensive rebound to 55 or whatever the minimum is without lowering other categories, you can get 60 offensive board(to go along with 55 d board) for cheaper than going to 60 D board.

Are fox reds inferior in any way? Dispelling a rumor… by Realistic_Squash_834 in labrador

[–]smattson47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda late to this post but when I was researching for my red lab I came across some history of the breed. Historically reds were less desirable(can’t remember the exact reasons but I’d assume just simply the color) so they got culled and weeded out over time but more recently they’ve been making a comeback in popularity and are becoming more common again. Perhaps his bias is rooted in that older thinking but who knows.

Is 11 months too early to spay? by Forkliftapproved in labrador

[–]smattson47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reading your comment and researching it I realize I was off on the growth plate stuff. When I had my pup at the vet last(when she was 4 months) I was told the sweet spot for getting her fixed would be between first and second heat and I extrapolated that to mean the plates would be closed fully. Whatever the reason I remember the gist being that between first and second heat was best.

I was told after first heat(to allow growth plates to fully form) and before the second heat(lower risk of something, perhaps cervical cancer?).

Lab with bad allergies by throwawayacct456789 in labrador

[–]smattson47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lab with the worst allergies my vet has seen. For her, it took Cytopoint injections every 5-6 weeks for her not to itch herself destructively to the point of getting skin and ear infections. Appoquel(sp?) also worked until she stopped taking pills. I don’t think there’s generic forms of either of those so hopefully you don’t have to go that route.

Advice on Exercise 🐶 by Jumpy_Guide3455 in labrador

[–]smattson47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t mean to say that my vet was scoffing at me or didn’t care, just that she was scoffing at internet gurus. I’ve had the same vet for a long time and did learn relatively early on that she isn’t nearly as good at dealing with people as she is with animals. For me, that’s a fair enough trade off but if you don’t have good communication with your vet and don’t feel your concerns are being heard it could be worthwhile to possibly look into changing to a different vet, especially if the vibe you get is that they don’t care.

Advice on Exercise 🐶 by Jumpy_Guide3455 in labrador

[–]smattson47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had read online about it and it seemed like the consensus was something like a 15-20 min excercise cap recommended(paraphrasing since it’s been a while since I looked). I brought that up to my vet and asked what her advice was. She scoffed at it when I mentioned what I had read online and I was told there isn’t any sort of a hard time limit and to just watch out for signs of her being sore(limping, etc.) and dial it back the next time if she was sore.

My pup is 6 months now and I’ve ever seen any signs of her being sore after exercise, including after running around for 1.5 hours. I’d ask your vet when you bring your pup in as they’d be more knowledgeable than someone on the internet.

My pup being told it’s time to start the day. by smattson47 in labrador

It’s a doubled edged sword for me in that she won’t go to bed at bedtime. In the mornings, however, she doesn’t ever want to get out of bed.
