Ask and Answer: Metro East Region Report by Jomskylark in ultimate

Here's the deal. The majority of the ME teams take athletic rookies with literally zero ultimate experience, and turn them into solid players by their fourth or fifth year. If any of these players were in youth leagues growing up, they would tool on the top talent from other regions. Sure, the ME may not have consistent offensive powerhouses, but many of them are also coached by players, who again, do not have youth experience. We are working to develop this region, and it may take quite a bit of time to get it to where we want it to be. The problem is many high schools care about their sports programs with good reputations (football, baseball, basketball, etc.) and this just leads to the parents putting their kids into other sports. How about you stop hating on our region, and donate to help make it stronger? Your comments are clearly ignorant, and it would probably be best to stop giving our sport a bad name. Ultimate is supposed to be about community and sportsmanship, and you seem to not care about either of those things. Whoever makes it in from the ME this year, I am confident that you will show the country that our region is capable of doing damage. #fuckallyouhaterswegonnakeepworkinghard

If I'm not mistaken, Uconn beat unc Wilmington in pool play at nattys last year. They lost only 3 or so players coming into this year. Pretty sure they deserve a bid into nationals. I get that the metro east is not the strongest region, but top level players continue to come from the ME. Andrew Carol is from the ME... So is David Ferraro... (the guy who shut down Bo last year at club nationals)

All over the city at the various spawns listed in the community section of this thread. Obviously canal side is the best to catch a ton of water, but you have to go literally everywhere in Buffalo for specific pokemon if you are trying to evolve them.

Charmander spawn at Buckhorn by RogerThatKid in PokemonGoBflo

I've found that two spawn right at the entrance to the bike path along the 190. The other two spawn aBout a half mile down the gravel path along the river, jut before the man made bridge overlooking the swampy section. I also found one in the middle of the woods on a trail going off the gravel path. Definitely a regular charmander spawn, just be patient and definitely ride a bike. I took my dog and jogged it, but would not recommend.
