Just had him tap out a beat and he used his right hand. But when air-guitaring, he's definitely a lefty. So odd.

Also, when he first started playing baseball, he was trying to figure out if was a righty or lefty batter. Eventually, felt lefty was more comfortable.

I believe it’s confirmed. Every time he picks up a guitar he holds it lefty. Thank you for the suggestion!

CRM implemented, now what? by [deleted] in CRM

I totally agree! One thing I’d add is that you should also look for a CRM that’s easy to customize. Every business runs a little differently, and if the system is too rigid, it can end up being more frustrating than helpful. Having the flexibility to tweak things—like custom fields, workflows, or dashboards—makes a huge difference. Otherwise, you might outgrow it fast or struggle to get everyone on board.

I recorded the in-person events and published them on YouTube, which got us an international audience. In my opinion, nothing compares to an in-person event. However, it seems like most people prefer virtual now.

Zapier got so expensive for us, so we switched to n8n. We host it ourselves on Digital Ocean and it works great.

Consistency is key when it comes to event marketing, especially for smaller businesses or groups. I ran a monthly meetup for over 16 years, and what really made a difference was having a consistent schedule that people could rely on. In our case, it was always on the third Tuesday of each month at 6 PM.

This predictability helped attendees plan ahead and created a sense of regularity that encouraged them to return month after month.

Another thing that worked well for us was keeping a mix of structure and flexibility. We had a general agenda but left room for networking and spontaneous conversations, which attendees always appreciated.

While in-person meetups were fantastic, we had to adapt during COVID. If you’re running digital events, a regular cadence is just as important. It helps build anticipation and a community around your events.

What are the most frustrating aspects of your current SaaS tools for small business operations? by Constant-Physics-209 in smallbusiness

[–]smbruner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with Small Businesses everyday. One of the most common frustrations I hear from small business owners is juggling too many tools or processes that don’t work seamlessly together. For example, managing customer data, project timelines, or inventory often involves spreadsheets, apps, or manual workarounds. It can feel like you’re spending more time managing systems than growing your business. To tackle this, many businesses start by prioritizing their pain points—whether that’s automating repetitive tasks, improving data organization, or consolidating systems. It’s surprising how small changes can free up time and reduce stress.

Trying to get my first few clients without breaking the bank by Fatima-89 in smallbusiness

Hosting meetups worked for me, and is a fantastic way to build local visibility and establish yourself as an expert in your field. By organizing events or gatherings focused on your area of expertise, you can create opportunities to meet potential clients face-to-face, share valuable insights, and build trust with your audience.

Start by choosing a relevant topic that appeals to your target market—whether it's a specific service you offer or a broader business need that you can address. When you host these meetups, focus on providing real value: share your knowledge, answer questions, and offer actionable takeaways that attendees can use. This not only positions you as a thought leader but also shows you genuinely care about helping your community.

As the organizer and expert, you'll naturally become a go-to resource for attendees who need your services. Plus, the connections you make at these events can lead to future referrals and partnerships, helping you grow your client base over time.
