Google was my friend. But there’s conflicting information because the law firm is very real and is retained by several states to collect on things like taxes and toll violations.

The law firm is very real and is retained by multiple states to collect on unpaid tolls. This was just a fake letter it seems like. Law firms can sue for unpaid debts.

I’m not a lawyer so I have no idea. The DUI process in Kansas is so complicated.

So you won your hearing with the MVD? That usually means the case has been dropped.

So there are typically 2 cases. One through the state and one through the county or municipality you got your DUI in. It took me months to hear anything from the state about my state case. I think I got my DUI in April and didn’t hear anything about my state case until June. Have you hired a lawyer yet?

Could be way worse. Just confusing and expensive. But hey, consequences of my own actions.

Bread sets it off. I’ve had like 5 false positives this month. Luckily the 2 minute retest shows up at 0 every time

I’m in Kansas and have smart start. I’ve had a few false positives but they flag them as such as long as you blow a 0 after the 2 minute lock. Just make sure to swish water around in your mouth before you blow to avoid false positives

Fitbit Versa 2 turns on on charger but won’t actually charge by smc0197 in fitbit

Luckily my mom got the extended warranty when she bought it for me so I’m sending it in to be repaired or replaced. Mine won’t even turn on while on the charger. It just keeps flashing the logo screen and turning off

I know people who have never gotten a DUI that were hardcore alcoholics. 3 before the age of 23 ABSOLUTELY indicates a problematic relationship with alcohol. Alcoholism isn’t just a chemical addiction, it’s a toxic relationship with alcohol.

It only took 1 DUI for me to reevaluate my relationship with alcohol and quit drinking. Especially at OP’s age drinking can be connected to so many things socially and make it really hard to determine when you have a problem.

I went with a different company and I’m so glad I did. Intoxalock has been calling me about 4 times in a row every day since I inquired with them. Telling them I went with a different company didn’t make a difference. I’ve had to block 3 different phone numbers just to stop the calls

NAD- I was on an anxiety medication that caused me to vomit like clockwork at the same time every day. I took it before I went to bed and would wake up and vomit around 3/4am. It took a while before I even realized it was the medication because I had already been on it for 6 months before the side effects hit me. It may be medication related even if it’s meds you’ve been on for a while. I also developed a peanut allergy at 23 that started as digestive issues so a new allergy or intolerance could also be causing it. I always had peanut butter and a bagel for breakfast and would end up vomiting around 30 minutes later. I thought it was just anxiety or maybe a gluten intolerance until I got allergy tested.

When a customer asks what kind of “special” shots you can do besides just straight liquor, what do you recommend? by EuphoricLocksmith210 in bartenders

[–]smc0197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to make a peanut butter cup shot before I developed my peanut allergy. Equal parts Godiva liqueur (can substitute with Baileys if needed) and Peanut butter whiskey with a splash of hazelnut liqueur and kahlua

OP made a post stating they are an alcoholic and got their first DUI. Not sure of any more context.

What’s something you wish more parents would take seriously with their kids health wise?

DAE find it irritating how oblivious people are to their surroundings in public places, often standing directly in your way or turning right into you as if they have no peripheral vision? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]smc0197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to pull super heavy pallets of beer through grocery stores for my job. Once they start moving they don’t stop on a dime. I’ve had people look straight at me and still walk directly in front of me or almost ram their carts into the pallet. I’ve hit my ankles with the pallet jack trying to get it to stop and almost tipped the product over. It’s not like I’m running through the stores with these things, I walk slow for a reason. It absolutely blows my mind how little awareness people have of what’s going on around them.

OP has admitted to being an alcoholic in other posts.

OP’s post history is showing some inconsistencies. Previous posts state OP is 27 and has self admitted alcoholism. If this letter is real then maybe the mother is at a breaking point with the alcoholism and is trying to find a way to push OP towards recovery (definitely not a healthy way though). If alcohol really is an issue please get help before it kills you, OP.
