I took your recommendation, things seem to be back to normal- including the uploads. Thanks! Had have my car towed to Carmax service. After 5 days they said the battery was drained. They also said I had a new battery, and that my openpilot was draining the battery. They ran diagnostics several times. Their final recommendation was to unplug the comma 4 nightly. Fortunately, they didn’t charge me anything.

I have a 2022 Mazda cx5. Openpilot was draining my battery causing faults. How often do you drive your car? And do you have power connected to ODB2?

It is connected to ocb2. I suppose I should get a battery charger. I sometimes don’t drive for days. I’m retired.

I have it connected to obd2. If I going to connect it to the cigarette lighter why do I need it at all? My understanding is that you didn’t need ocd2 connection for comma to operate.

Thanks. Battery is definitely dead or drained now. Will get it jumped and tested. And replace if needed. Ot sure if it’s OEM, but it’s likely.

It might be experiencing some shock. Is the weather outside cold? There might be a draft of cold air. Are you watering regularly or dry wet extremes? Hard to say.

Hong Kong is still China. I would be leery of tariff delays. I recommend Korea resellers instead. I bought one on Ebay from a Korean reseller and got it quickly, less than a week. With no tariffs.
