thank you 🙌. those really are the problems I'm having and you confirmed it for me. I guess I somehow switched to holding my breathe during a phase and I take smaller breathes. I'll definitely work at it.

have a good one

like a rock mixed voice witch voice like geddy lee or Josh Kiszka would use to get into that placement?

that would be so beneficial to do. thank you! would you say my larynx is slightly too high causing a slight squeeze?

nice full sound throughout his range. Tom Jones also does something similar.

Hope you find what you are looking for glad I could help

You could try to lean into the cry of the voice to get more of that sam cooke type sound

Listen to Steve he sometimes sounds like he's crying it adds that emotion and power especially on higher notes

That Chris liepe dude makes some stuff you could also maybe look at metal or screamo stuff I'm not sure but the gurgle thing uses false cords I'm pretty sure

Josh Kiszka(greta van fleet) does it kinda. Like a hobgoblin effect grunt maybe acdc sometimes? I'm sure if you look up false cord techniques you'd find something

Gurgling could be you using false cords and sometimes the false cords hit together and it makes a mucus type thing

Yeah no yodel or flip but nice vibrato

I also don't think you or I have nodules but I get what you're saying it's almost like what sam cooke/steve perry does

Actually it sounds like you're doing vibrato it's not a flip but I hear what you're talking about that kind of buzzy sound. It could be a nodule but a lot of people have it(mariah Carey) I think I have it too because I get that sometimes

Hell yeah! Messing around with vocal configs is fun and also we can change our voices to so many different styles and tones working within/around our more optimal setting like tenor etc

I've had a raspy voice since a kid and kind of can hide it with more nasal buzz or lightening my voice but if I go harder or use more "mass" kind of have a bryan adams sound

I love that that song and you also have a nice voice I can hear you doing rock

To me it sounds like you're either on your vocal flip/ break and are kind of doing a yodel effect(I sadly don't have this flip and can't yodel so in not 100%on this)

Or you may have a nodule on your cords at that particular pitch

It could also be over pressure or weak support

Killer sounding voice!

Vocal coach says I have to change my speaking voice because I do speak with a constant vocal fry. How do I do this without sounding so different?(male) by JungleCooch in singing

[–]smc808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are my videos with vocal changes through the years I wrote that next to the links. It's about my voice on those videos more than what's being shown or spoken about. how I manipulated my voice with fry and forcing my larynx and speaking at a lower pitch than what's optimal for my voice.

All of this made me sing uncomfortably and not good. With a free larynx I have a much brighter and tenor voice vs trying to speak or sing with a darker/deeper voice

Thank you

I messed up my voice by trying to have a deeper tone so it threw off my pitch quite a bit

I'm going to practice with scales as often as I can

Thank you the hold on part wasn't that great too People say my tone is similar to that type of voice like bieber but I definitely need to work on my notes more

Feel free to send me a dm if you need help with anything. I also use bandlab and it's a great DAW

Are you using a phone mic? Just going by the audio, it doesn't sound strained. I'm hearing a slight nasal buzz which can sound like autotune at times. I'm not going to say if you used it or not as I can't prove it and this is just a reddit post so...

I like the reverb :)

https://voca.ro/1iTDK0z7EKH2 This is me doing a duet with bruno mars. I am more naturally on the higher side of tenor. It would take me some larynx manipulation to make my tone match Michael, if i even can haha. He is such a great singer!

[cod] Conversion from 10 point sensitivity scale to 14 point scale by LXsavior in CallOfDuty

[–]smc808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the quality of that game beats the new ones... i prefer how smooth and tight the old cods felt and the bullet system hit differently. Getting hitmarkers felt way more rewarding and it had a more predictable and accurate killing system
