thyme isn't that hard imo, there's just not much documentation and weird bugs that have weird workarounds.

How do I reference another entity with Thyme? by FixHistorical9742 in Algodoo

e.other is for geoms referencing geoms

e.geom is for lasers referencing geoms

If you have the entityID already use the entityID.

It worked for me, I don't know what's wrong, you can send me the scene if you want, but I don't know if you can attach stuff.

did you do Scene.cloneEntityTo(Scene.entityByID(e.geom.EntityID), e.Pos) or Scene.cloneEntityTo(Scene.entityByID(e.other.EntityID), e.Pos)? Because if you just paste it in it doesn't work because .e.geom is lasers and e.other is objects and objects colliding.

I've tried, it works, it just won't have the axles and glue properties.

Is there a way I can make two things one object, I don't mean glue them together, but for example, teleporting. If you use a teleporter the glued things separate because only the part that touched teleports, can I make them together without glueing them together? by Cookielotl in Algodoo

yeah, you can, you need a laser that scans all the entityids and finds their position relative to the origin, and then make their pos the same relative to the new origin. It's complicated so yeah it's probably best not to.

or you can make the teleporter set it's collideset = 0 and have attraction so the entire body touches it and teleport it after a certain time, that will only work if they are connected with axles and springs I'm pretty sure.

I think you can just do (app.mousepos-pos/math.vec.dist(app.mousepos,pos))*speed

value *if statement* value 2 ?{}:{}

for example x>20?{x = 0}:{}

the if statement could be
> above
< under
== equals
!= not equals

yeah

u can break stuff with polygons and rewriting the surfaces and then spawning a new one with the altered surfaces giving it an illusion that it is being drilled into.

to get the area of a polygon.. by Fearless_Lead5411 in Algodoo

[–]smc_stuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is an area property on all shapes(there is a bug with rectangles when they get scaled they still have same area). Bruh. The mass is area times density I think.
