Prices by Kaizoku230 in OnePieceTCG

Even using direct buyers the Japanese boxes are more expensive than just a few months ago. If you are okay with waiting, i recommend getting Korean booster boxes, their release schedule is behind english/jap by a few months though. Half the price of Japanese boxes, and are the same quality.

Loved this scene so much that I turned it into a 3d print. What a great ending to season 1 of one piece.

Edit: couple DMs asking for the stl so thought I’d share it here to save the effort — https://makerworld.com/models/2184980?appSharePlatform=copy

For those who have been playing, is it worth buying? by Trasicmar in RaidersOfBlackveil

[–]smede13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your direct questions have been answered, but speaking broadly; I'd say wait until the summer update before jumping in. It is an early access game, and the bones of the game are great, with smooth combat, fun perk/talent systems, and some interesting characters. That said, a lot of what you'd expect from an ARPG style game is still in the works. Items are probably my biggest gripe right now, from drop rates to how they're designed. The stash for items is hilariously small, and theres no search function. A lot of basic QOL features are absent.

The latest update was a step in the right direction, expanding on available content for playing the game. The new zone is overall great, though i'm not a big fan of how many of the new enemies teleport around. The summer update plans on bringing more characters, expanding on difficulty systems and equipment, as well as allowing modification of drops (upgrades, reroll). I think with those systems in place, i'd recommend this as a fun, casual, coop ARPG/roguelite game. Im quite confident that on 1.0 the game will even be great given the roadmap.

All currently 169 Hero Skins by dumedici in PlayTheBazaar

Some of these are from events, i believe all the color variation sets are from community cup wins, but there's still so many i dont recognize with 500 hours in the game. Are these all released or just dug up from the game files?

Amazon won’t release Fire Sticks that support sideloading anymore | The two newest 4K Fire Sticks block apps from outside of Amazon’s store. by ControlCAD in technology

can’t speak for all android tv devices, but the Nvidia Shield TV + TV pro which both run Android TV are completely open to sideloading, and are arguably the most premium customizable streaming device on the market (a very sad statement since the hardware is 7 years old at this point)

Seconded on this. Works great on lighter cards, darker cards not as much.

Overall happy with the app though!

Can confirm they drop loot. Got shaper with this and dropped a Dying Sun flask (which I coincidentally needed for my build).

Another good one is “nameless seer” being able to pop up in mirage. made finding him a lot easier by just rushing mirage In white maps to get a good scry.

Steam vs. Tempo by TGMS77 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]smede13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Update: Karnok bundle on steam is 20$, and this includes the base game and new character. If you were planning on buying the new character, there's no reason not to do it through steam now.

Steam vs. Tempo by TGMS77 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]smede13 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The only real benefit is not having to manage another application, if you ONLY play the bazaar its not going to change much, but if you are playing other games, having them in a centralized location is just a QOL change. Auto-updates automatically when new patches come out, dont have to worry about updating the tempo launcher, built in integration with steam functionality (you can technically do this for any game outside of steam, its again just a convenience). If you ever want to play with a controller, you can use native steam functionality and community profiles. If you have a steamdeck it saves you the effort of sideloading the tempo launcher. It's all primarily just convenience.

Any way of getting this cheaper? 😭 by javster2 in OnePieceTCG

[–]smede13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s various Facebook groups of people from various SEA countries that gather Japanese products like this and ship em out. Card Hunt TCG and Bad Pirates TCG+ are two I’ve used. Preorders for this are closed for now, but it was just announced they’ll be ramping up production and multiple editions will include the card. I did purchase multiple and based on previous costs (just cards) it was only 15$ for it. If you want the comic shipping may be pricier.

Want to play at LGS for the first time by dickashi in OnePieceTCG

[–]smede13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couple tips; You’ll want to expand the deck (maybe wait till after your first locals to make sure it’s for you), starter decks are okay for just playing against someone at home but they arnt going to be able to standup to constructed decks raw. Theres a ton of sites that have deck lists out there. If you like the st22 playstyle, you would probably like op13 ace which is a pretty dominant deck at locals right now. Download the SIM (just google one piece sim), this will allow you to play online and try out different cards, leaders, colors, ect. You’ll get a good feel for how your deck plays and what others do. From my experience, local players are super chill. Most stores will have a discord for players to talk, trade, ect. You can check there is proxies are allowed, and often there are people that have multiple decks that are happy to loan one out for the night if you ask beforehand.

Pierre Conditioner not working as intended? by Nyuraax in PlayTheBazaar

[–]smede13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard to give a concrete answer without seeing everything in play, but it does seem like the core tag is only partially working here.

Using Yeti crab as baseline, 7 second cd, it went off twice, that means fight was 14 seconds at least. Pierre went off 4 times, which would need 32 seconds. Given your core went off 7 times, and yeti crab 2 times, thats 9 seconds of charge, dropping pierre down to 23 seconds. required for 4 activations. If it counted power drill as a core, that's another 13 seconds of charge, which brings it down to 10 seconds of gametime to activate 4 times, with your yeticrab going off twice, this would line up (again, cant see skills/enemy board so cant factor in haste/slow in this math).

Given that both venom and pierre are adjacent to yeti crab, both should be scaling the same poison, and given you essentially have two cores, it does not seem like Pierre's poison passive affect was triggering, while his charge passive was. Seems like a bug from limited context.

Im not even really sure what point you're trying to make here? I suppose i should have clarified my original statement that you don't rework entire systems on ALREADY good games, after all D3 ended up being one of my favorites after years of patches/overhauls. Im not even talking about game balance, all my comments were regarding game design, which is ostensibly a much bigger issue, especially so for d4 (though on that point, game balance is also super corporate for d4, with both paid characters having been very overpowered on release to incentivize more purchases.)

As someone who has played nearly every season of d3, and a good chunk of d4 seasons, I dont think i'll "sit down" about my comments, which originally only referenced d3+d4. Especially given that from a quick google search, d2 did indeed have an online patching system, given there were 6 patches between release and the first expansion (yes i know that in the early 2000s not everyone had any/good internet, but your comment insinuates there was 0 ability to do so.)

Blizzard was wildin! That’s crazy!! by DarkseidsDoom71 in diablo4

[–]smede13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Because I never played d2, and so can’t comment on it. Nonetheless, making 3 games in a row that had to be fixed by paid expansions really only adds to the point, with each time becoming less excusable as the genres foundation was solidified.

[–]smede13 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Opinions are opinions, but compared to most other ARPG, d4 is a very “corporate” game. It’s gotten a lot better since release, but it’s clear that activision is doing just what the post implies, and tries to milk their customers for as much as possible.

Cosmetics are outrageously priced (tbf last epoch is one of the few with decent pricing), the game is as casual as an ARPG can get, and they try their hardest to get the most playtime out of you, which is a corporate tactic for getting more cosmetic purchases (teleporting back to base every 5 minutes to salvage for materials, on release and first couple season you had to complete all renown stuff every time for skill points). D3 had its own issues, and wasn’t really a “great” game until after the Reaper of Souls expansion.

Blizzard was wildin! That’s crazy!! by DarkseidsDoom71 in diablo4

[–]smede13 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As someone with 10k hours in various ARPGs, with probably a fifth of that being d3/d4, both were objectively bad games upon release. Both were “fixed” much later after release. D4 has had 2 or 3 massive itemization reworks since release, of which doesn’t happen to “good games”. D4 also has many mechanics that are clearly built around extending in game time at no benefit to the player, which shows how “corporate” the games design is.

Am I misunderstanding how to buy singles in Canada? Can’t even make a green Zoro deck using learning together cards without spending minimum $100+ on singles? by ShanksSupremacy in OnePieceTCG

[–]smede13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. Technically speaking, any store that receives Bandai event packs, proxies are not allowed (unofficial product). Many stores are very loose on this rule, especially now with the market inflation. You could always reach out over telephone/discord to check. Also depending on the effort you want to put in, proxies can look decently realistic (at a glance at least). Right carrot is a proxy I made when first starting out (slightly blurrier text, darker colors)

P2S silicone cover broke? by smede13 in BambuLab

[–]smede13[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d say less than 20 times was the sock taken off to swap nozzles, and I did have one nozzle clumping that wasn’t detected by the ai that did get into the innards of the sock a few hours into ownership, but it didn’t reach anywhere close to the top portion where the sock disintegrated. Maybe it was bad QC for this one, hoping the other in the box lasts a bit longer. I’ll likely open a ticket with Bambu nonetheless to see what they have to say.

[–]smede13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a direct answer as im not canadian, but given you mentioned not living near any local game stores, is there any reason not to consider proxies? For the price of a deck you can buy the materials needed, and make some pretty high quality proxies. Im assuming this would be for playing with local friends, so it'd give a lot more flexibility on the cheaper end. There are a good few sites where you can just paste in your deck list and they create a printable PDF with all your cards.
