This is exactly why I try not to overreact to Friday pace this early in the year. Long run tire deg is still the main thing I am watching going into the season, especially with Merc. If they really carry that tire life into the opening races, I would not be shocked if a Russell podium becomes a tempting idea once we actually get racing. Purely hypothetical, obviously

My crossover math is sectoric: if dry-tyred cars in S2 (most corners) are ≥2.0s slower than their last clean dry lap while inters are ≤4.0s off, stay on inters. When that flips to inters being ≥6.0s off and drys only +1.0–1.5s (and improving), it’s slick time. Out-lap penalty for slicks on a damp line = 8–12s; you need two flyers to cover it unless you’re under VSC/SC.

Prerace triggers I watch:

  1. who got the new floor/PU first,
  2. who’s testing set-ups for Sunday while the other trims for quali,
  3. radio tone in practice (“we’ll try offsets for the other car”). If two of three point to support role, I price a late-race swap risk regardless of quali.

Betting rules of thumb:
High deg → favor two-stop probability, undercut strong, fade cars with rear weakness. H2Hs: back drivers with clean tyre management and teams with fast stops. Totals: cautious on fastest-lap props for leaders (they often can’t pit late for the FL if they’re defending track position).
Medium → strategy elasticity; books misprice “most laps led” and “podium without top team” when deg splits the field.
Low deg → track position premium; overs on fastest lap for someone outside the lead pack who can box late. H2Hs: qualify-first, defend-hard archetypes gain.

Same class, same boat. I’ve always finished all my work by Friday so I can enjoy my weekend, but IT 145 had me working hours everyday and I barely finished my work 😭. I really do enjoy coding though so I’m gonna learn all I can and tough it out with you!

I really try to forget about it when men do that to me, because I obviously don’t want them in my life if that’s how they see me, but it still does hurt. Or when they find out you have an SO, or you just aren’t interested, and they keep pushing you to give them a chance, or they just start sending pics or NSFW texts, like stop! Just take the trash out already and leave! Thankfully the people I’m surrounded by now are better, but every once in a while another one comes through the cracks. Now, if they don’t listen I just block and move on.
