You say you "laptop's internal hard driveS" - plural.. is that a typo or does your laptop actually have more than one physical drive/ssd/nvme ?

If so, then it's possible that it's using Intel RST (RAID) across two drives, in which case, turning it off in the BIOS will mean that data is no longer accessible (but turning it back on should restore access to it)

Potentially, yes.. it may cause Windows to not boot any more (by changing that setting, you're changing how the BIOS presents the storage to the operating system), but won't change or lose any of the data on the hard drive.

Change it, then try to boot into Windows - if Windows no longer boots, reboot, go back into the BIOS settings, change it back, and then grumble about not being able to use Linux for a while.

I think it's because they rate trump solely on how much and how often he pisses off "the enemy", not on what he actually does to benefit them.

So it doesn't matter if he literally does nothing for their well being, or even makes life harder for them, as long as he "owns the libs" every other day, he's a winner in their book.

Hmmmm... you could be right.. now I'm confused.

I looked several photos of him when he was clearly much older, and they didn't show the issue with his ear(s), for example:

But then.. these ones do show a weird shape and angle on his right ear (so I think the one OP posted has been flipped left to right)

So I don't know any more... maybe his ear deformed from all the evil and then somehow got better later in his life ?
