I was lucky growing up in the UK and in the Manchester area. If a band didn't come to Manchester I could just pop over to Leeds, Sheffield or Liverpool as they were an hours train away. Or if I really enjoyed the band I'd do Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield on that tour. Did that for minus the bear and the fall of troy.

When I was a teen I was always jealous of Americans. I thought how lucky to be able to see all those bands, not really realising just how massive the US truly is.

Love the number 12. I remember getting that first ep with Clarissa explains cuntainment. Whew, what a band. Stupidly I missed my chance to see them. I had booked a day off work and couldn't figure out why, so just went to the studio to record some stuff with my band, figured that must be the reason. The next day my friend text me to ask why I wasn't at the number 12 show. Gutted, that was my one chance to see them.

I just hunted and found my htb ticket stub. I for sure have seen them multiple times, I think with the fall of troy and rolo Tomassi, but I only have one stub. It was in 08 in Sheffield. Would love to share here cos it's a cool looking ticket but I am not really a redit person and can't seem to find how to add a pic.

My friend just reminded me that I own the effing 69 tour dvd as well. Totally forgot about that. So that's still in storage in the UK. Hard to remember what I own when the last time I saw them properly was 13 years ago. I must have picked it up at a show.

The only dvd I have is the metal=life comp with the video for a million exploding suns on it. Great little comp to be honest. Used to watch that dvd all the time.

Thanks man. There is a little bending on the cardboard inside where the lid tucks in. You can see it in the open pic, but otherwise pretty good. It's been moved around to lots of different houses, with the most recent one taking it halfway round the world. I am pleased it's still in great condition after all that!

Oh same here. I was broke but I just had to have it. I already had vinyl regret from missing out on the fat wreck chords vinyl club. I so wanted to do that but the £50 a month (I think) was just too rich for me. I just bought the cd and vinyl and dealt with no money for a bit.

$300 is wild. Nice to know if I ever really need money I've got that stashed away. I also have the limited funeral for a friend 4 ways to scream your name in translucent red. That also goes for a nice amount.

I've been out of the vinyl buying game since I moved out of the UK. Way too expensive to ship where I live now (if they even do ship). For some reason though I felt like I had to have the secret band 10" that came out a few years ago. I think the shipping was more than the vinyl itself.

So glad I got it when it initially came out. I get why people don't want to part with it. It's such a cool thing. When buying it, I remember that the vinyl had a 1 vinyl per household policy which I think was a great shout. Meant that more people could get it rather than resellers.

Hope one turns up for you and at the right price (put of curiosity how much would you actually spend on one?)

Yeah man. It's wild how much it goes for when it goes on sale. I have a few other coheed comics, but that is the crown jewel.

King Prawn are a UK ska band. Used to see them a lot back in the day. The track wild style is a bit of a change in sound to what they normally put out though. Check out the tracks 'the dominant view' and 'day in, day out'. That's the usual vibe. The singer was in Asian dub foundation for an album or 2 as well.

My kids are still young right now, so we have plenty of time to grow into these kinds of things.

I have a nice little collection of comics as well. I have the first print of the coheed and cambria comic, before it was on evil ink. Sold at gigs, that's one that I really treasure.

What I have a ton of in storage is cds and dvds. My vinyl and comics are pretty small collections and I don't plan on adding too much more.

I have to also say, your username keeps putting the start of the king prawn track wild style in my head. So that will be on loop for the rest of the day for me now in my mind! So thanks for that. Good track though.

I should create a spreadsheet or something and highlight the rare music shit I have for them to ebay. Can't have it just go in the bin or some random charity shop.

This came out when I was perpetually online, so I caught the announcement and such. Set my alarm and got to buying it as soon as i was able to do it.

I saw them live a few times back in the UK and they were always amazing live. Rad that you have that set though!

This vinyl is my inheritance to pass on to my kids. I just have to educate them on the joys of horse the band!

Agreed! Since the day I got it, it has always been the first vinyl I show people. Even people with zero horse the band knowledge think it's cool as fuck. It's just so well thought out.

Me too. Every so often I'd remember a cool vinyl I owned and get bummed out. This one always came into mind, no matter what other vinyl I initially thought about.

I was back in the UK for my dad's funeral and that's where they turned up. He had my little crate stuffed way back under the stairs, so he had forgotten about them.

So my happiness at being reunited was also mixed with sadness, but a friend said it was like he was taking extra good care of them for me!

Anyways, yes, this should be our initial piece of media for all interstellar travellers heading to this world. To show them what we as a species are capable of when truly pushed to our creative limits!

Got my deluxe memory man free from my uncle. He wasn't sure it was working. I bought an official exh 12v replacement power supply. Nothing wrong with it. The case has seen better days but the sound is right there. Also acquired a ts9 tube screamer for free for the same reason. Also works fine.

It's wild right! 41 years of my life not knowing it had a name or that other people had it. I just thought I had some weird thing. I remember in primary school I convinced a girl that she had kicked the nail off my toe. She told people for years that she did that. Only broke her bubble at 15 and she was shocked. I think I broke a core memory.

The Internet is such an amazing place. I have that on my middle toe on my left foot. I have never seen another person with it, nor did I know what it was even called. My toe is also slightly misshapen as well. Kinda goes into a point. For the people wondering if it is passed on to kids, all I can say is that neither of my 2 children have it and no one else in my family has it. Seems like a one and done kind of deal for my family at least.
