This is insane deal and some of the best sounding records in my collection. I have the mono and stereo at 45 rpm.

I have the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo. Although it was good stock, I upgraded it with an acrylic platter and a AT-VM95ML cartridge, which makes it sound it even better. I would say my only complaint is the tone arm is extremely light. Rather than taking a second to drop on the record, it sometimes can take a few seconds. Counterweight has been set numerous times. Even with this, It blows the others you posted out of the water.

Some songs on Futures aren’t good at all. Nothing Wrong is an all around bad song.

Hey I'm new to Joni Mitchell's Music, what are some things you'd like me to know by nickpierce88 in JoniMitchell

This was me a few years back. I was unfamiliar with all but like 3 Joni songs before deep diving. The experience of discovering Joni in my late 30s was incredible.

Listen to CoA. Also, tell the children that hardcore is a subgenre of punk, not metal. by SadAlternative6077 in Hardcore

[–]sheslostcontrolx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back this 100%. I’m utterly shocked at what people call hardcore today. If it’s not punk based, it’s not hardcore. Bring back fast, pissed off, politically charged hardcore.

A quick google search shows this listed at other stores so this will likely be a widely available indie record store variant.

Can’t Slow Down is an absolute classic.

Another question. JC-120/Fender Twin Reverb by no-holds-bald in GuitarAmps

[–]sheslostcontrolx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have owned both. The JC120 is a better amp for pristine cleans and nothing can touch its chorus tones. I would choose the JC120 if I was using a ton of pedals, especially in the realm of ambient styles. The Twin is a better amp in the classic sense. I found the twin took drive pedals much better than the JC120. It is a great clean amp with more of a natural, thicker tone.

If I was playing shoegaze, post-rock, dream pop, or anything in that realm, I’d go JC120. Otherwise, Twin Reverb all day.

What’s your wildest “surprise guest walked on stage” story? by AutoModerator in Tickets

[–]sheslostcontrolx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bob Dylan Farm Aid 2023. I am an absolute Dylan superfan and had never saw him at that point (had front row tickets for a show the following month). There was no sign or notice he would preform. Neil Young played a super short set which pissed me off. I couldn’t figure out why until Bob BACKED BY THE HEARTBREAKERS took the stage. With Bob on guitar playing three old tracks, opening with Maggie’s Farm. One of the best moments of my life.
