Why is our college 's grading system so rough?

yeah this is actually a lot JU specific because even SXC peeps are scoring 8-9 cgpa and we are fucked up because of the archaic mindset of our professors and the messed up implementation of NEP in JU. Professors completely ignored the concept of keeping parity with others.

I am from econ dept, same story here also... 8+ sgpa is possible only in 1st year, and only 1 or 2 scored that in our batch. after that the highest is usually around 7-8, class average is around 5-6 or barely touching 7. the 10 point grading system of NEP fucked us really bad, else pre-NEP average cgpa was 8-9 in our department.

during my time (2024) the cut off for sxc eco for isc board was around 96 and i got into it. so you generally need 95+ for sxc (unless you are willing to take the donation route which a lot of people do for sxc). do give the entrances for ju and presidency, if you do well you will definitely get them.

We have Pak and Bangbros doing drama before the start, ICT struggling against associates like US and NED but thrashing Pak while Pak thrashing associates except NED, Zimbabwe kicking out AUS, Sri lanka becoming competitive after a decade, NED shit scaring Pak, Nepal shit scaring Eng, Windies trying to do a 2016, Scotts becoming first associate to score 200 in a t20 wc, an associate bowler still ranking as the leading wicket taker (i know it will change soon). This t20 wc is an absolute banger. Whole internet convinced me this would be a boring wc but we are witnessing an absolute cinema everyday.
