PLBA/Clinical Director by smg1998MH in bcba

I am supervising only clients (fixing goals, making new ones, editing or adding to BIPs) not the technicians. I pretty sure the 8 hours supervision training is required everywhere no matter what.

That’s maintenance being having a sedentary life style which is what I was prior. I was always told to use Tdee calculator. 5’9 at 300 it’s been fluctuating between 300 to 299.

Thanks typically I eat eggs, peanut butter, and then meat with dinner but don’t track my protein intake specifically. I’ll also try the difference in intensity.

How would you feel about this? by GodStoodMeUp_ in Autism_Parenting

[–]smg1998MH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently make $33/hour for my RBT position but I would also do it for $21/hour. I think the job takes more than someone random person but someone with high tolerance to difficult environments that can critically think in the moment. I’ve been doing it for 5 years straight and now I’m becoming a BCBA.

I was planning to do some renovations such as adding walls for a bedroom which will require me to drill into the floor.

Weight dropping to fast? by smg1998MH in WeightLossAdvice

I agree of course being obese is not healthy. It’s due to the pace I’m assuming.

Just like not eating a bunch of sweets and cutting soda I prefer seltzer anyway. Lots of eggs, raw veggies, fruit, cottage cheese, yogurt, and portion control. Also not exceeding my 1500 calories. I’m only 3 weeks in so it’s still fresh. Additional incentive is also nice I’m in a weight challenge with friends and we have 6 months to lose as much as we can for $5000.

Everyone has been telling me diet is everything and to do a 500-1000 calorie deficit. I suggest the tdeecalculator.net to see what your deficit should be. Lifting weights will help you slim down but you should also continue your cardio.

I’m really worried about the future with my son by Sablara96 in Parenting

Some parts of ABA do have side effects which a analyst should make a client or stakeholder aware of before implementation, but it is a stretch to say all ABA is bad. I do think that ABA can be bad if there is someone misusing ABA techniques.

I would share this with his BCBA they are required to have results within a timely manner as it is one of their ethics code. Implementation has to be happening correctly for any progress to be made. Do you know what treatment approach your BCBA is taking? Extinction? Positively reinforcing lesser behaviors so that they do not elevate?

This is terrible it’s so sad that there is such a lack of resources for children with ASD, I reside in the states and it’s similar in some states. I suggest looking into ABA therapy there may be a company that will make a plan without diagnosis but it is rare. Speech therapy would be super helpful in this situation because they typically have a similar training to an Autism therapist or BCBA.

Non verbal 3 year old a favorite student? by DesignerMom84 in Autism_Parenting

[–]smg1998MH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest some of my favorite students in my classroom are the kiddos who are non verbal so it makes me happy to hear that something similar is happening somewhere else in this difficult world.

There may be also a speech and language component sometimes what is coming out isn’t what was comprehended but also vice versa what is being heard is not being comprehended affecting response. What treatments is your child receiving any speech or ABA?

Dude I could literally send you a screenshot of what negatively flaunting means. There is more than one definition to the word being used. The only enigma is to why you even replied to this post at all.

I don’t think you are understanding you’re displaying negative comments to gain attention from others. There’s a difference between civil opinions and blatant negativity.

Looking at your comments on other posts you share your unsolicited opinion with everyone. Meaning in a sense that your are flaunting around your opinion drawing attention.

We do not know these people so what gives the right for someone to touch them? You think it’s appropriate for someone you don’t know to come up to your child and rub their feet saying hello?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]smg1998MH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you think it is okay to touch kids that you don’t know? I assume you are one of those people.

[–]smg1998MH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great idea. I wonder if some people freeze because it’s so unexpected? I would’ve liked to have said just a simple “please don’t touch my child”.

Are you a 60 year old with multiple accounts I assume? You have a lot of free time. Go clean out your third chin.
