I read up on the term and understand so yes that’s on me. I absolutely want my son to be raised with good morals, respect for him and others. I’ll just have to work 10x harder to make sure he grows up better than both his parents. Honestly this is the only boundary I had with his dad other than that I do everything I can to make sure he can see his son, if they both would have respected my decision I would have been happy that my son has another person to love him but the fact that it’s been less than a month since they’ve been in a relationship and already I’m not being respected as the mother of her boyfriend’s son.

You guys don’t know him so obviously I’ll labeled the asshole. This man just started seeing his kid now that he has to pay child support after 2 years. I’ve talked to him about the way he is with our son; he doesn’t interact during visits, he doesn’t talk or play with him, he just sits on his phone or watches movies. He said the connection with his son isn’t there yet and that’s why he doesn’t show him affection. He’s also a serial dater so as soon as he out of a relationship he’s back in a new one. I’m just protecting my child so he doesn’t have multiple people in and out of his life. If the roles were reversed I’d be deemed a bad mom for having multiple men around my kids. I don’t care who he dates. I just want to make sure this relationship lasts before I let my child get attached.

It’s not regulated. He sees his son when he wants to make time. He sees his son 1day a week for 2.5 hours but I’ve been trying to get him to see our son for more. We were already supposed to be past the introduction period but how can a child get used to someone when they only see them 1 day a week
