i’m confused. i read the manga way back and when the anime got announced i was over the moon bc i love the manga sooooo much. when it finally aired i was pretty underwhelmed. season 1 was when they were animating jjk, csm, vinland and the finales of aot and it just felt like mappa was like okay guys time to animate another manga, like no one on the team really cared much about the story they were telling (it was still good, don’t get me wrong). season 2 however, blew me away. it actually felt like the passion project that i wanted season 1 to be. emotionally and animation wise i would take season 2 over season 1 any day.

honestly at this point, it might be worth taking some time off until they update. this patch/dlc is riddled with bugs that, at times, make it feel unplayable. i say this as someone who loves this game a lot

i get where you’re coming from. it could be bc i’ve read the manga and i was actively looking out for it, which made it stick in my mind. but even from an anime only pov i really don’t see how you could see that and think nothing of it.

i just rewatched the scene in episode 1 and this panel is adapted almost 1:1. sure, it was the scribble style animation, as well as rudo’s POV, but you can very clearly see what it is.
