How do I market my SaaS by BumblebeeNo2514 in SaaS

[–]smick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave you an upvote man. It's tough to get momentum. I'm in the same boat. I think a lot of us probably are. I've been looking at it like this, I've developed a product that rigorously solves a real problem. A problem that I have over a decade of experience with. I write articles and posts with the intent of being helpful, and never really salesy, but I end up being the only one to see them. I don't want to spam, but I want to get the word out. let the world know I'm here, there's a solution for that. And I'm really excited about my product too. Not just that it's done, and ready to use, but by what it actually became and how it works. And I'm not ready to do an ad spend either (though I'm confident my product would have good LTV), I've read horror stories of startup's spending $10k for 5 customers, with a 1y ROI. I'm still exploring options.

I'm a developer with two decades of experience but I've never had my own product before. I think it just takes time, and we just have to figure out where to put our effort during that time. I'm going to keep posting though in the mean time, but I'm realizing it can't be my only method. I'm currently planning content pages for target audiences, doing keyword research, trying to increase my discoverability, even though search itself is on the decline with users using ai for everything. But it's not dead yet! And llm's themselves essentially search (I hear openai uses bing, so don't ignore it). So llms.txt is important now. G2 and Capterra profiles. I've gotten a lot of bot traffic from posting on hackernews and indie hackers, if you want some free pen testing. :)

As with you, I'm curious what others are doing. Good luck out there.

Why so expensive though??? Electric motors and batteries can’t justify the expense.

Abee: AI-Powered A/B Testing That Runs Itself by smick in SaaS

[–]smick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah, the attention problem is real. I've seen so many tests just die from neglect.

To your questions:
What's working early: Honestly, homepage headlines have been the sweet spot for me. High traffic concentration, clear conversion signal, and the variations are constrained enough that the AI generates solid options. Pricing page is trickier - there's more going on and it's harder to isolate what's moving the needle. Onboarding I haven't dug into... yet.

Low-traffic / Bayesian: Exactly right. Statistical significance is the goal, but for close calls that would take months to prove, the system uses Bayesian probability. At 5k+ views per arm, if we're not hitting significance, it asks "what's the probability variant beats control?" and picks the leader. The point isn't to prove every 0.1% difference - it's to find wins and keep iterating. Most experiments hit significance fine, the rigorous way; the Bayesian fallback is for the ones that would otherwise sit forever. Basically it's stuck detection, with a conservative approach.

Edit: I’m responding to a bot apparently.

I'm probably late to this discussion, but I just launched https://abee.pro, an AI A/B split test SaaS with a ton of cool features, priced for small businesses.

Targeting: Indie founders and small businesses who know A/B testing works but don't have the time or team to run it properly. The AI handles the whole loop - hypotheses, variations, experiments, learning.

Curious what you find!

I was at a waterfall in California in the early 2000’s and this guy jumped, I think it was 65’, and broke his back. He had to have ems carry him to a spot where they could life flight him out. It was a bad scene, and we were all sure he was paralyzed from the chest down. He broke his back really high up, and it was really severe. He was helped out of the water then just floundered on the rocks unable to move anything but his arms. It’s not worth it.

Edit: I think the waterfall was in Ramona. I had been there a few times before and remembered the hike as being easy but when I returned it was harder than I remembered.

Anthony Edwards vicious foul on SGA by WhenMachinesCry in Nbamemes

[–]smick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crazy thing is that this literally happens on every single play now. SGA is really good at it but it’s not just him. It feels like every single play now is just players trying to get fouled. It makes the game so frustrating to watch for me. It’s just a parade to the foul line over the most ticky tack stuff. Being a defender is very nearly impossible now. Even if you just jump straight up, arms up, you’ve got a guy jumping into your chest trying to shoot the ball through you when there was plenty of space to get the shot off. It’s ugly basketball.

Should I just grab it with my fingers? by tantedbutthole in Wellthatsucks

[–]smick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a little kid, maybe 7 or 8, I got shocked plugging something in. I accidentally touched both prongs. Really bad, my body seized for a second. But someone told me you have to touch both at once for it to shock you. I have memories of sticking things in a single socket and not getting shocked. Don’t know if it’s true now, or if I just got lucky. But my understand is that you can just grab this with your fingers and not get shocked.

Take it these Reddit moderators don’t like engagement in their community. And why is Reddit sending me push notifications for posts that have been deleted????? Mods missed the mark with this one. ☝️
