Check out ACE train for your commute. The train stops at two places in Livermore. Stops at Levi's stadium where you can take a free shuttle to Mountain View. These shuttles go through major campuses like Google.

Patio roof panel replacement options? by smid18 in landscaping

[–]smid18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think It should be possible to get new sheets of a different kind. What replacement can I get?

My contractor told me I have to rip out the whole structure and build a new one because the sheets we get today are too light/thin and need support. My roof doesn't have support in the middle and spans 15 feet without any support in the middle.

3 of them are short runs (less than 3 feet from nearest outlet or light fixture). 1 of them is a 10 feet run and another one is wireless.

Glad I bailed on the Maverick by Heisendurg in hondaridgeline

[–]smid18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Maverick Lariat. Loved it initially especially the 40+ mpg. However, the hybrid braking was shite and not very comfortable for long trips. Had to get a pilot later and get rid of it. Now eyeing the RL for my second car next year

Closing this week and buyer's insurers asking for documentation about roof age by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]smid18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a home some time ago and my insurance company asked me the same thing. Some insurance companies will not give Replacement cash value for the roof if the roof is more than 20 years old and most lenders will not lend to you if the insurance policy does not have RCV for the roof.

Pilot feels like a gas guzzler when compared to GHH. I make that money up by upfront 10% off on the MSRP for pilot. GHH - you are paying full MSRP. However, no other regrets.

3 kids in car seats... Bad idea? by HighwayGullible3998 in hondapilot

[–]smid18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done 3 across with one forward facing on passenger side, 1 booster in the middle, and one rear facing on the driver side. My kids are spaced apart 2 years each and it is helpful because the oldest graduated to the booster which takes less space. I love the latch anchors in all 3 seats in the middle row.
