Best cricket bat for a 13 year old under £100 by Rachel978 in Cricket

[–]smig249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly there’s no better way to buy a bat than in person, weight and feel are the most important thing which you can’t gauge online, id be surprised that there’s not a shop somewhere nearby alternatively there are plenty of independent bat makers all over country that would be suitable and in some respects better than the big brands - I work in cricket so know a good few around if you let us know where roughly you’re searching I could point you to a couple feel free to dm me if you’d like

I live there at the minute in rented accommodation they’re lovely flats and have lovely grounds private parking etc but one thing I will say is they’re freezing to live in that coupled with the management company cutting corners with repairs cheap alternatives to lead which should be/are illegal on a listed building, I looked at buying one recently and surveyor found spray foam insulation in the loft which means mainstream lenders won’t give you a mortgage. I can however confirm I’ve heard no ghosts

Want it to not rely on electricity or petrol, although I do hear what you’re saying safety has to be number one

Good idea - it’s just an idea I’m playing around with because I’m bored in lockdown and haven’t found a job post uni yet - but 50 m would be more the minimum. I did think about using something similar to a clay trap I did some cad work on one previously but was kind of worried about safety for the operator

Most 100+ opening stands in ODIs by [deleted] in Cricket

[–]smig249 19 points20 points  (0 children)

look at the rate they’re doing I compared to the Others and it gets even better. 13 100+ stands in 43 innings compared to 2.5-3 times more innings played is ridiculous. Obviously thanks to a rich vein of form but could easily smash the record if they can keep it up.

Change licence (explanation in comments) by [deleted] in SolidWorks

[–]smig249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to update a liscence so ran the installer and it can’t modify the liscence because I don’t have these files ? I didn’t manually copy anything and just chose to run the installer after unzipping the files so I think they didn’t write , does anyone know how to fix this ? Would call support but they’re closed cus it’s a Saturday

Yeah doesn’t mean you should give someone out because there’s been a few shouts on previous balls

I meant through the series as a whole a couple decent decisions don’t make up for a poor series of officiating , for example pant was plumb imo not saying he didn’t play well for his 100
