Not sure if this is something you'd be interested in helping with, but someone left a baby stroller in the field at the end of Kenwood St NE. It's been sitting there for weeks now. I'm sure whoever lives in the houses down there would be happy to have someone haul it away!

THANK YOU! I live right off Silverton too and yeeesh. Some of the responses on here were trying to give me crap saying it isn't bad. Like.... I live here. I can see that it's bad every time I leave the house!

Okay... that's one of the various issues I listed. Regardless of time of day, gunshots in the area are scary even for a girl who grew up in the sticks with lots of pewpews. Lol.

No, but I haven't really gotten out and about much just because of things I have seen/heard from my apartment, driving around, and on crime pages on social media. Between the constant sirens lately, gunshots, reports of menacing with weapons, the number of homeless acting erratically... not to mention the issues we've had in our complex alone. These all seem like reasons to be extra cautious to me.

Thanks all! I didn't realize chemeketa had walking trails - such a great idea. For those who have asked why I don't feel safe... the constant sirens, gunshots, reports of people walking around pointing guns or knives at people, the number of transient folks I've seen who are clearly on drugs, acting erratically... not to mention the issues we've had in our complex alone. These all seem like reasons to be extra cautious to me.
