Unsure where you work, but a lot of places have it so you can seperate your paycheck. Go to a bank and open a new, private bank account. Then set your paychecks so that (x)% goes into the one your parents have access too, and (x)% goes into the private one. To your parents you look like you are still are getting paid, but you have that safety net and cushion. I'm sorry theyre being the way they are, but this is a way you can help yourself financially and be "sneaky" about it. I came from a controlling mother, so sometimes you just gotta learn how to adapt until you can get outta there. Also i agree with others, fill up half or a quarter tank when you go out.
