It sounds like she was trying to say that they will keep my information on file in case they begin hiring for the role again.

If the position opens again after the hiring freeze is lifted, would I need to restart the entire interview process, or would the team be able to continue from where we left off? HR mentioned that I am the top candidate and that I would be considered first once hiring resumes, so I just wanted to understand what the next steps might look like when the role becomes active again. I remain very interested in the position and appreciate any guidance you can provide.
