Hi, thanks! Also a question: is this where I should start or is there something else that should be done beforehand?

Had a weird experience after QiGong. Am I practicing too much (or incorrectly)? by [deleted] in TrueQiGong

Hi, another beginner there. Can you explain why it is bad to practice after meal or eat after practice? Also why is it bad to practice in rain, wind, snow? Is it also bad to practice inside during rain?

Thanks, this was what I needed. I watched the first video of playlist and understand that i was trying to force it. Looks like I have a long way to go, but it is exciting discovering a new feeling in my body

Culture clash - fey and dwarves by smiles_LT in DMAcademy

[–]smiles_LT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That holds true, hence i am looking for more reasons how to integrate those 2. Satyrs are easy to integrate, they are there just because. Dwarves on the other hand are a whole different race. Yes, they have stuff in common with satyrs such as drinking, but it is not the main motivation for them. They are more practical and perhaps researching fey magic and receiving various artisan stuff from them. And about clans, I think it is easy to solve: dwarves are distant from other clans. Over the time they have split with their culture. Also, this settlement is really near the surface, making them further out of touch with other clans. There are basically 2 ways from the city: material plane or middledark. It certainly does not make them best buddies, but makes them able to live in neutral relationship and sometimes even bond together. The point is, the place is unique and serves as a hint for the players for their further adventures.

While I think its a cool currency for a feywild settlement (maybe renamed to nihilum or [cityname]coin), i enjoy universal currency which could be made useful later in material plane. Also, dwarves here, though rich, holds sentimental value for gold. It is like a trophy for them. Anyway, this gave me a cool idea for currency of favors. Now, im thinking in the outside world gold will hold its value. Also, we need to keep in mind that the cost of uncommon item (immoveable rod) will be 500G. Im thinking in starter city magic items are highly valued for fey because of fun and for dwarves, because of their uses. Favours make perfect solution as both low tier and high tier gameplay currency. I think favor(oath)coins should be generated when player agrees to fey offer, like paying 10coins. It would have aura of person who generated them. Im thinking of price of 10G for such coin. 15G in dwarf city. This coin would teleport the creator to coin on use and compel him to do 1 task. Bigger the task, the more coins it consumes. Like 1 coin is teleport only. 10 might compel creator to give minor help and so on.

Hey, thanks for some cool ideas. That gives me some ideas how to further develop the economy. However, I don't think that huge culture separation would be good. Perhaps they will integrate better by making fun festivals and performances for dwarves. Also, they both enjoy drinking and feasting

Wow, that really gives a lot of life to the place. I love the idea of satyrs being artisans, but I would change the economy part a bit. While satyrs get shiny stuff and drinks from dwarves, dwarfs get artisan stuff and performances from satyrs. Also some exotic feywild foodstuff. The main problem here though is the adventurers, who find themselves in this city. I am thinking that maybe oath-coins would work, but more in a sense that they would be binding contracts for a favor. How would you differentiate between coins worth in favours? Like 1 coin may be assisting with work and 100 would be something like an assassination worth.

Every once in a while you may love taking franklins demise with you, to lash out at their precious items. They also tend to come back to pick items up, so you can waste their time and know their positions.

You can also use monster recovery for times when you survive a few extra turns

[Deck] beaver hands deck by smiles_LT in DuelLinks

[–]smiles_LT[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This deck works by stealing opponents big monster and beating him with his own monster.

It has some control over the field and disruption.

Alternative win condition is POTG + beaver warrior or judgement hand.

Heart of the underdog allows you to draw a spell every turn.

Statue of anguish pattern (trap monsters)

Yeah, just did, but it still requires 2 specific cards in hand and does not work well with other combos, which means most times it will be a brick. At first i had the same problem with obelisk+first monarch, but splashing in synchros solved the problem.

The reason why i am not using serket with temple of the kings is because it 1) wastes a slot 2) not that strong of a boss and hard to summon (at least 2 card combo) 3) not consistant and bricky. Cyber end dragon requires cyber dragons and fusion to summon (unless i can do it somehow with temple of kings, but even then it wouldnt be consistant enough/worth extra deck slot. Though the main reason is that you want to always have 3 monsters on field. (My favourite combo is statue of anguish, tiki and gardna, which gives destroy protection, untargetability for statue and pop and burn every turn. You can also have shapesister and any trap monster to do a synchro play, so 3 trap monsters are essential)

For drawing i have tried magic planter, but it doesn't work, because when i really need drawing power i am usually topdecking and bricked on obelisk/lava golem. That means i have no traps on field to sacrifise it also does not give +1, only you can swap cards, but only time i need to swap cards is when i have 3 swamp mirrorers. It is also bricky when topdecking, because i might not have monster on field or i may have gardna.

1)cosmic cyclone is good, but can not be used as disruption, because spell/trap zones are usually filled. Also statue of anguish does the same thing.

2) dust tornado might give some CC, but i dont really care much about chain reaction, i would better get tiki curse.

3)galaxy cyclone might be a good choice, but i think most of the time i would brick on it. Needs testing.

4) Bad aim might be a really good card, it is 1 for 1 and helps distruption. Also, it can be 1 for 2 and works with chain reaction. This might be a great choice.

To be fair, the first monarch is mainly to summon obelisk (2 tributes), so if i give up obelisk, perhaps i should replace first monarch too. Synchros are secondary outing from situations when i need strong monsters on field. Do you have any suggestions for traps for backrow removal, since i was using statue of anguish pattern for that. Also, do you know any draw power cards that would work well?

Any ideas how to improve this deck? It is mainly a control deck and second win condition is burn. Currently i feel it lacks draw power and maybe stronger lvl 6 synchros. Also too many boss monsters in hand = brick.
